I am no expert on fountain pens but this pen is very smooth and it is the most expensive pen that I have in my collection.... it is also my favorite. well worth the money ?? and pen chalet ...they’ll are fantastic in the serve ...they give to us there customers,,,the deserve 5 ??????????

Had to wait a while to get this pen as the fine point was found to be out of stock after I ordered. I didn't mind the extra wait, but i can't say that the wait was worth it.
After opening the elaborate leatherette case, I was surprised to find a pen that looked and felt no better than a five dollar Chinese pen. I knew going in that this was a smaller plastic pen in the Aurora line. But this pen is not a 120 dollar pen in my eyes. The styling took a drop when the gold band around the cap was changed, and the pics on the website only show the nicer looking old cap band.
On the plus side, the steel nib writes very well indeed and I like how the pen posts. It definitely is a very good performer where it counts.
Overall, it's a very good, but overpriced writer. Get rid of the over- elaborate packaging and lower the price to 30 bucks or so and this will be a great pen.

This pen (italic) took some getting used to...but now I love it!
The italic nib is crisp and does require some discipline, but results in some nice juicy line variation.
I have the yellow one inked up with Pilot/Namiki Yu-yake. Ink flow is nice and steady.

I own several Aurora Ipsilon pens .My very first pen was a blacks and silver Ipsilon
bought years ago ..Still working fine. The Burgundy Italic pen is my second pen with
an Italic style nib. fun to play with for small calligraphy style writing.
The Burgundy color is more red -purple light merlot color which is very nice.'
I have 7 Satin and resin Ipsilons.(can we say collector or obsessive ? Do not care for metal.
They are terrific everyday writers; great price .If cleaned periodicly will last and last
