Pelikan Edelstein Bottled Ink(50ml) Fountain Pen Ink Reviews
Finally decided to try colored ink after 50+ years of writing with a fountain pen. I read all the reviews on Edelstein and decided to try the Topaz and Jade based on their very positive reviews. I am not disappointed! Beautiful ink, I've been using Edelstein Onyx for a while so I was already familiar with the outstanding quality of Pelikan's premier ink. However, I was not prepared for the absolutely gorgeous color and shading of these two inks. The Topaz reminds me of the color of Sleeping Beauty Turquoise and the Jade looks exactly like its name. Beautiful rich vibrant colors in my Pelikan M1000 and 1987 vintage M800. I don't even envision a need to ever go back to Black!

I have used Edelstein Amethyst, Aventurine, and Tanzanite. Tanzanite is a beautiful blue/black. The ink flows well in my Pilot Metropolitan, my Pelikan m205, and in my Lamy 2000. Cleans up easily too.

I've been letting my inner fountain pen geek off the leash lately. And it's been a blast. I picked up a bottle of the Edelstein Topaz based on a color chart I had seen somewhere. It turns out it was a very bad color chart but a very pleasant color of ink on the page. It wasn't what I was anticipating but I was very pleasantly surprised by the color -- on the page I was writing on (Pengad Court Reporter's Notebook; they are made like in the old days with very fountain pen friendly paper that is off white with an almost pink hue -- a very pleasant blue that tends towards turquoise. The writing experience with the ink on a fine steel nib was very pleasant. The ink dries very quickly. I'm left-handed so that's an important feature for me.

The Edelstein ink purchased is the color Sapphire. I like this ink. It has a nice nature about it. Immediately as the letters are written, while wet, the ink is a purple color. Moments later it dries to the very pleasant blue.

I like this ink. I have a Pelikan pen. It only seemed natural to purchase matching ink. The color is Tanzanite. An understated beautiful blue/black with great flow. The color leaves a nice presence on the paper.

Fantastic ink, well worth the price I spent.
Flows is easy and nice. Colors are vibrant and pop off the page.
