This is one of my favorite Opus 88 pens, even though it uses a converter instead of eyedropper-fill like other Opus 88s. It's very comfortable in my hand, because of it's so girthy. When my first Buffalo Horn fell and cracked I had to buy another one immediately. So now I have two of them, one wrapped in masking tape.

A great pen for Autumn! The colors are more muted than I expected. The rose gold trim sets the resin off nicely. The pen performs to the usual high standard for Opus 88!

I bought this pen because it was on sale. I was/am in the stage of exploring different brands and styles of pens to see what I like. This pen is light, which is a big plus for me. It has a larger diameter grip than many of my other pens, which I also like. The quality is very good for the price point. The nib has a slight bouncy feel, which I enjoy. I got the fine nib and it writes with a narrow, clean line.

I have had the Opus Jazz for a couple of years now and it has become my favorite pen. It has the stub nib which functions beautifully. It lays down a lot of ink with a heavy hand but it is as delicate as a fine nib when needed. The pen itself is top quality with fit and finish better than any other pen in that value range. I highly recommend this pen but also recommend the flex extra fine nib which I have in another Opus 88 pen.

I bought this pen in Fine and it puts all my other more expensive pens to shame. It writes similar to a Platinum 3776 for less than half the price. The line is thin but saturated. Amazing. Plus, the drop filler is kind of fun! And the glitter is gorgeous too. Overall 10/10 pen.

The Omar is about the same size as the Demonstrator except it has the rounded top finial and barrel ends. I know some people don't care for eyedropper pens, but it uses the Japanese style of eyedroppering with a rod & o-ring to shut off ink when not writing with the pen. I prefer this method over any pen that doesn't have a shutoff mechanism.

I got the Pink Demo in the EF nib. The pen is so pretty! The pink/purple/blue combination works so well. This is my 3rd Opus 88 pen (I also have the Halo and Picnic). I like these pens because they look great (especially the translucent/transparent ones), feel very sturdy/well made, write well, are easy to clean, have good sealing caps, and have nibs that are easily interchangeable. The cap requires several turns to uncap/recap. This can be a little inconvenient if needing to write quickly. But I’ve found that this leads to a better sealing cap and the pen can be uncapped for a longer time before ink dries out. The nib is a black colored stainless steel but replacement nibs appear to be only in the silver color. It would be great if replacement nibs are also in black. Pen Chalet had a great price on the pen (lower than other online shops that I looked at). They processed my order and shipped the pen quickly.

I would like to start by thanking the person that returned this Opus 88 Demonstrator with the extra fine nib, so I could purchase it cheap in Pen Chalets final drop. It had supposedly hard starts, but after putting in purple Sheaffer Skrip ink, and following the instructions to get the ink to flow, it works great for sketching. I like the pen size! It fits my hand perfectly, has a good variety of line widths that fit my sketching style. When I finish this supply of ink in the pen I intend to try a brown, or grey DeArtimis permanent ink. Thanks again gor the great price.

This is a comfortable pen for me to write with despite its size and my small hands. It is an excellent writer and holds so much ink. Very easy to fill with the included eyedropper. A nice color combination of grey ends with the yellow cap and body. Happy to have this fountain penl.
