Good general purpose ink, free flowing and easy to clean. Not particularly water resistant. The bottle style is both interesting and functional (you can tilt the bottle once ink level gets low for easier filling). The black color itself is standard, not as richly dark as other premium brands. Good overall value for 62 ml of ink.

While the pen took a while to deliver (it had to ship all the way from Italy), once arrived the pen has been a great writer. The nib is perfectly wet and absolutely smooth, and the maroon and rose gold combination is very attractive. This is a larger pen but fits very well in my hand as I prefer to write un-capped.

I know there are a lot of nostalgic fans of the old Paragon who simply do not "get" the new incarnation of this Omas classic. As an owner of both the versions, I have to say that the new Paragon is a gorgeous pen, which respectfully honours Omas Paragon's tradition and at the same time makes a bold statement about its uniqueness and diversity. Larger that the vintage Paragon, made of the same, unbelievably beautiful Arco brown celluloid but with a vermeil section that feels gorgeous between the fingers, a beautiful nib (I own both versions in Bold), the ring of the cap embellished by a a modern version of the classical greek (this is however the only point where I feel that the older Paragon was better) and the top made precious by a golden "O" (which is better than the bare end cap of the vintage Paragon), with a large and substantive golden clip (that I personally like), the New Paragon is no doubts the proud flagship of contemporary Omas. I warmly recommend it (and particularly at Penchalet's super price!) to any serious pen lover.

I LOVE Omas pen refills. They are difficult to find at times, especially the Parker Style. I have purchased Parker refills before, but they just aren't the same. The price is the same, but the Omas is such a nicer writing refill, IMO.
