The Diplomat Elox Matrix fountain pen's cutting-edge design takes you to the future with Diplomat's double-anodizing process, a unique and innovative technology being applied by Diplomat for the first time.
Inspired by Diplomat's popular Aero Collection, the Diplomat Elox Matrix fountain pen features the same silhouette with a full black anodized aluminum body complemented by the green aluminum "matrix" pattern. Fountain pen collectors and writing enthusiasts will love the sleek shape of the pen and the pen cap's satisfying "click." The pen's distinctive design is finished with gunmetal trim.
Each Diplomat Elox Matrix fountain pen is fitted with either a smooth #6 Jowo stainless steel nib or a 14kt gold nib. The pen uses a cartridge converter filling system compatible with standard international ink cartridges or converters.

Takes a tad to adjust to the balance of the pen, but the nib is out of this world. You absolutely do not need to upgrade to a gold nib to have a mind blowing writing experience.

I’ve got about 25 Diplomats with #6 steel Jowo Medium nibs and this is the first that is inconsistent. It writes like a wet Fine but is very nice nontheless! The grip section surface seems a bit slippery to hold. The odd thing about this pen is the feel of the body and cap. I have a blue and an orange Elox Ring and when you run your fingers over them they feel smooth. The etched cuts on this “Matrix” are so sharp the surface feels raspy. The pen certainly won’t slip out of your hand. Still, the pen looks great and should be quite serviceable!
