About the Consul Brand
Introducing Consul, an independent luxury writing instrument brand created by Alex Semanin and Kate Dmitrieva, the visionary founders of BENU. While BENU celebrates vibrant colors, sparkle, and bold artistic expression, Consul explores a more understated approach to fine writing instruments, blending classical elegance with contemporary design. Inspired by Semanin's early career in restoration, where he developed a deep appreciation for traditional craftsmanship, balance, and proportion, Consul reimagines timeless design principles for today's discerning writers and pen collectors. The result is a distinctive collection of writing instruments that celebrate sophistication, individuality, and the enduring art of writing.Designed and handcrafted in Yerevan, Armenia, Consul writing instruments reflect a dedication to exceptional craftsmanship, precision engineering, and thoughtful details. Combining elegant silhouettes, proprietary materials, and an emphasis on in-house manufacturing, Consul delivers a fresh perspective on modern luxury pens. The brand debuts with three distinctive collections—Origin, Elan, and Guardian—each offering its own interpretation of refined design. For fountain pen enthusiasts and collectors who appreciate understated luxury, lasting quality, and the pleasure of an exceptional writing experience, Consul brings a captivating new vision to the world of fine writing instruments.
