Beautiful design. I purchased this pen for my wife to be a gift (intending to hold it till Christmas). Alas she was present when it was delivered and insisted on seeing what was in the package. Christmas was a few months earlier than planned. BUT she loves the design, feel, fit, and smoothness of writing. She has selected the desired Pilot Iroshizuku ink. Enjoying using the pen several months longer than anticipated.

I’m not usually one for the more “plastic-y” feeling fountain pens. I generally favor a heavier or more solid feeling pens. But this Benu Talisman doesn’t disappoint. It feels good in the hand and is a smooth writer. I chose the Dragon’s Blood version which I had my eye on for a while. It’s even prettier in person! This set was love at first sight. It totally spoke to me. It is such a beautiful Euphoria! Well done BENU and Pen Chalet. The Van Dieman's Fairy Dust Potion ink is so pretty...like a midnight sky with lots of sparkly stars. I love any ink from Van Dieman's especially the shimmer inks like this one. I chose a medium nib because it's my jam on BENU Euphoria pens. It's been inked up since I received it. It's so lovely!

This is so adorable!! I like the color of brown and yellow. It reminds me of chocolate and butter scotch. Since it is a bit tiny, I prefer using it posted. I have a lot of empty cartridges, and so I fill them with different brown inks. Robert Oster Golden Brown, and Diamine expresso which is a bit too dark. I love BENU pens, and I have way too many of them!

This was the second Benu fountain pen that I bought. As mentioned in a review of my first Benu (Daily Mate), I never understood the love of fountain pens that my husband had/has until I bought a beautiful Benu. When I saw the Wednesday Daily Mate pen, I fell in love with Benu and their pens. My husband has collected fountain pens for years and I never understood the attraction. I had a Pineider pen as a souvenir from Florence where we visited their store, but it was so scratchy and the ink dried up so quickly. Benu has wonderful nibs and the ink flows so well even glitter inks. I am totally sold on Benu pens: love the glitter and the nibs. I love all my Benus because they are lovely to look at and the nibs always perform well. I was very taken with the color combination of the Christmas Astrogem so I decided to buy it despite my earlier attempted restraint not to buy any more Benus. As I have the Echo Astrogem with a medium nib I decided to get the Christmas Astrogem in a broad nib. It is a smooth writer and handles shimmer ink like a champ.
