Monteverde Giant Sequoia Fountain Pens Reviews

As the name implies this is a large fountain pen. If your hands are on the large size this pen will feel right at home. When placed side by side with most popular pens, you will notice quickly that it is indeed larger in diameter. The stainless steel nib writes nice and smoothly with good ink flow to the paper. On "cheap" paper there is some feathering and bleed through. On good quality fountain pen friendly papers, this pen will yield a nice writing experience.

My copy is used with the converter so I can use the pen with a whole host of inks instead of the few choices provided by ink cartridges. The additional cost of the converter is will worth it.

This pen performed well for about fifty pages of writing. Then the nib starring acting up...missing more and more strokes, and unevenly dispensing ink, which completely messed with my writing. A little research turned up a fair amount of dissatisfaction with Monteverde nib consistency. I wish I had known, but most reviewers tend to be diplomatic in discussing these issues. Let me a bit more blunt - your money is better spent buying a Pilot Metropolitan- or four, for the price of this pen. This pen, despite its looks, is a piece of fruufy garbage.

A great choice if you like large pens. The medium nib on mine writes smoothly and the pictures don’t do the finish justice. An outstanding value.

This is an awesome fountain pen. Excellent value. I love the look of the pen. It has a great design and I really like the feel of the pen. It's nice and "hefty" in your hand and has a nice weight to it as well. My wife even tried it and even she likes the larger size. She feels that because she's a woman she had to always get a smaller pen but I just ordered her own Giant Sequoia in a turquoise. The nib is also very smooth and just so nice to write with. I highly recommend this pen for both men and woman.

This was a big surprise to me. I already have several Monteverde pens but this is perfect. The size suits me and the stub nib writes beautifully.

A nice big pen, a tad bigger than the All American. The blue is beautiful, B nib works great. This is my first Monteverde; very happy with it.

Fabulous fountain pen! The circumference is larger than that of other pens and it feels great in the hand. The color is unique; there is some gold that blends in with the blue making for a lovely combination. I ordered a fine point and am very happy with it. This pen writes smoothly - no hard starts!
