Paying homage to the original, iconic Visconti 'Voyager' released in the early 1990s, the Voyager 2020 fountain pen features the same clean, ergonomic lines. However, the new Voyager modernizes the original design with unique new design features.
The body of the Visconti Voyager 2020 is a gorgeous mother of pearl resin with striations of color. The special material creates a unique light to the pen's finished design that gives the illusion of 3D.
Visconti Voyager 2020 fountain pens feature Visconti's new in-house 14kt gold nib. The new nib has a more contemporary design, but it still features the distinctive Visconti crescent-moon shaped breather hole. Pens also include a new Visconti luxury converter with ink window fully customized with "Voyager" engraved on the side. Visconti Voyager 2020 fountain pens have a customized blind cap, and the updated design includes the now-classic Visconti Ponte Vecchio bridge clip.

This is a gorgeous pen (the purple Orion)... elegant and sophisticated, and just right for the size of my hand. It took about a week for it to be "broken in," but now it writes smoothly and continuously. I really like the mild magnetic capping function—just the right strength to hold the cap on firmly yet not so strong as to give an annoying TAP. I'm using my favorite ink, Private Reserve Ebony Purple, which "goes with" the Orion deep purple. My only teeny criticism would be with the window on the refillable ink cartridge. With my nearly black ink, it is hard to see the level of the remaining ink. In some of my other high-end fountain pens, you can see THROUGH the reservoir, so when I hold those up to the light it is easy to accurately judge the ink level.
