The Retro 51 Tornado Popper pens are limited edition pens, each with a unique theme and design. These Tornado pens reflect the latest trends, retro fun, or a new production technique.
Each Retro 51 Popper comes with a matching gift packaging tube and a refill. Like all Retro 51 Tornado pens, the Popper pens can take either a Parker-style ballpoint refill or a short capless rollerball refill.
Petals and Pastels
The Retro 51 Petals and Pastels Limited Edition Tornado Popper is a love letter to Spring and the magical trellises of floral color it offers after a long winter. Pastel art by Katy Klassman served as inspiration for this release. The luminous color and tactile surface created by the pastels both translated beautifully to the barrel of the Petals and Pastels Tornado Popper barrel. Vivid colors are paired with frosted copper trim, and the pen’s finish is pebbled to reflect the unique texture of a pastel painting. The top disc features a pastel flower, and limited edition numbering is on the top ring. Let the kaleidoscope of colors found in the trellises of flowers on this new Tornado Popper inspire you to write your own story of Spring and new beginnings! Limited to 914 rollerball pens (referencing 1914 when Woodrow Wilson officially declared Mother’s Day).

The 1st Tornado Popper release of 2021; Retro 51 presents The Herald. Carrying on the message that "Life is too short..." loud and clear, this pen design recognizes the Retro 51 legacy. Hidden elements encircle the pen. Discover the keys and agree to join the Retro 51 mission as this keystone design carries its message to the entire world. Limited to 1951 pieces. For the first time in Retro 51 history, the Retro 51 Herald Tornado Popper releases alongside a matching Rickshaw Bag's single pen sleeve (sold separately).
Gymkhana
Whether you're at home, at school, or at work, these Retro Racers are raring to go and will keep you ahead of the pack. Retro racers have stainless barrels printed with vintage slot car designs finished with a checkered flag, and stonewashed pewter trim. Available in two colors Rallye (Red) or Bumper (Blue).

This is a really fun, quirky pen that also writes well right out of the box. But, if you're like me and prefer a ballpoint to a rollerball, you can quickly and easily replaced the enclosed rollerball refill with your favorite Parker-style ballpoint refill.

I think Retro did a great job in the design of the Enterprise. I purchased 2 of these pens; one I kept for myself and the second one I gave as a gift to my sister. Whatever the type of coating Retro has put on the pen, it feels like it should last a long time. If you haven't picked up the Enterprise, then you should consider doing so. It would be a great addition to anyone's pen collection and a pen that you would enjoy to write with everyday.
