Opus 88 Koloro Demonstrator Fountain Pens Reviews

This was a lovely surprise. This Opus Demonstrator has been a reliable daily writer, with a consistent wet line, showing off the best shading of any ink I've tried with it. Have enjoyed it immensely. I choose the medium nib, and been considering a second in the fine nib, for variety. Nib size seems true to western standard sizing. Well made and durable. Highly recommend the brand.

This a huge, not heavy, not light,beautiful polished demonstrator. Black string clip. Ink capacity is huge. This is a wet pen. Any nib size will make you smile. A must have! Fast, secure, well packed delivery by Pen Chalet! Try their customer service, always the best!

This is a “semi” tank of a pen, I don’t have any other pen this big in ink capacity or size. The jowo nib is ok but I prefer the “black bock” nib that I also bought here, l just replaced the feeder holder and that was it! Now it writes like a champ, I love it! This is a huge pen. I wish I had recognized how large it was before I purchased it. But that is my fault. Otherwise it is attractive.

I’ve never really been obsessed with demonstrators; I don’t hate them, but they’ve always felt like a bit of a gimmick. That being said, as soon as I saw this pen, I knew that I wanted it and I’ve been extremely happy with the purchase. I love the large size, simple but distinctive cylinder shape, and the absurd amount of ink that it holds. It’s not perfect; the eye dropper filing system is more involved than a simple cartridge converter or piston filler (I didn’t have an eye dropper pen, so that was part of the appeal for me), it tends to burp a little ink into the cap no matter how careful you are, and it’s definitely not a great pen for jotting quick notes. Still, it’s comfortable to hold, writes forever, and the fine #6 JoWo nib on mine is near perfection (smooth and wet with barely any feedback).

If you haven't had a Koloro Demo before, don't hesitate to buy this pen. I did extensive research to find a demonstrator pen that can hold the most ink possible. This is it.
