The Netto filling system consists of a small device that screws onto the Stipula ink bottle in place of the bottle's lid. When using the Stipula Netto filling system, fountain pen users can refill their fountain pen without dipping the nib (and sometimes the pen's section or grip) directly into fountain pen ink. Instead, the Netto system allows writers to dip the nib in a clean, dry well. The liquid ink converges in that same clean, dry well through micro-pipes (thanks to the principle of capillarity).
