It comes with a resin cap and barrel of the pen, with a resin knob at the end to actuate the piston. At the top of the cap is the Pelikan logo on a medallion in gold with a traditional Pelikan bill shaped clip that is on Souveran fountain pens or other Pelikan Souveran pens. Then there is also two gold bands at the bottom of the cap, on the back side one band is engraved with "Germany Pelikan Souveran". The cap is a solid blue resin with a marbled brown and blue resin on the barrel of the pen. Two bands at the bottom between the barrel and the actuator knob for the piston.
The cap is threaded on the pen and unscrews. It can be posted. The M800 is a pretty good sized pen, so you don't necessarily need to use the pen posted, but it is an option if you would like. It has a matching section with the cap on the blue resin and a two tone 18 carat gold nib with a black feed on the back side of the pen. Pelikan M800 Stone Garden Reviews
Obviously, not my favorite among the styles of 800s I own, but collectible and a typically Pelikan excellent writer.

The M800 Stone Garden...what can I say really? I was drooling from the first time I laid eyes on it. I immediately put it on my wishlist and after a while started to see it go out of stock in most places. Other stores had it, but sold out or only had it with a Medium nib size, but I finally found it here on PenChalet with an EF nib and decided I’d better go ahead and grab one before they ran out too. I’m glad I did. At this particular time in my fountain pen journey, this Pelikan Souveran M800 Stone Garden fountain pen is my so-called “grail pen”.
I’ve read around on pen forums and see on YouTube reviews that Pelikan nibs write wetter and larger than the same advertised size of other brands, and I’d say this is pretty true for the 18C-750 gold EF nib on this pen. It is wetter and has a thicker stroke than my other extra-fines. It writes smooth and reliably though and I love that.

A superb fountain pen and the stone garden finish adds a nice touch. I have a larger hand, so this works well, although with a smaller hand, a 600 may be better. Nib writes beautifully, although not quite broken in yet. It's light, so a good long distance writer without tiring. For some, the ridges where the cap screws on may be bothersome depending where you hold the pen, but I tend to hold it above the ridges so it is not a problem for me.
