This is the Pelikan Blue Marbled M205 Fountain Pen. It has silver accents on the pen. The top of the cap is a black medallion with the Pelikan logo in silver and a silver finial with the silver Pelikan bill style clip, black resin cap with the Pelikan engraved with Germany on the chrome ring at the bottom of the cap. And then it has a beautiful pearlized blue marble resin barrel and small ring at the bottom of the barrel of the pen and then the actuator for the piston and the black resin glossy finish to the pen.
The cap is threaded and unscrews and it can be posted on the pen. The M205 is a smaller version of the Pelikan pens, so not a really large pen but a nice shape and size to it, I really like the pen. It comes with a black section to hold the pen. There is a little bit of a thread there, a small section for holding the pen, but it does feel comfortable. It has a stainless steel nib with the Pelikan logo engraved and a black feed on the backside.
Since it's a piston style fountain pen, there is a small ink viewing window here for the pen that's actually black and matches the pen, nice finish to it. But you can actually see the ink through this viewing section. To fill the pen you would actuate the piston here with the nob on the end of the barrel.

Like all models below the Pelikan Souverain 800, the pen is small in length and light. However, posting increases the length and gives it a really good balance in the hand. The blue marbled barrel is very attractive. I ordered it in a medium nib, which is on the lighter end of medium. I would have preferred a wider medium, but writes very well, and it starts up perfectly each time you uncap it and apply it to paper.
It's bit on the pricey size for what you get, but it is a Pelikan and the quality of the steel nib is there, making it a good writer. I also have the same pen in marbled green and gold appointments, and the same comments apply to it, with the exception the green marbling isn't as eye-catching or pleasing as the blue marbling.

Lightweight and a little short, but a good length for me since I write posted. This pen is a beautiful color; the marbling is not symmetrical, as there is a part when the pen seems to ombré. Mine has an EF nib which writes incredibly smoothly and started right up without any need for capillary action. Though the pen feels a little light, it writes beautifully and is lovely to look at.

This is my first purchase from Pen Chalet and my first Pelikan pen. The entire order process was flawless and set the stage for the entire transaction. The pen arrived quickly in perfect condition and looked exactly like their video. This is my first piston filler pen, but it is very easy to operate. After adding some Pelikan ink, I tested the pen and was immediately delighted. The nib is very smooth and the pen fits my hand well. I feel like I could write all day. Like my other Japanese pen, it is small and fits well in the palm of my hand. If you have big hands you might want to post the cap or invest in a larger pen. It is well made, elegant looking, and writes well. Be aware that this pen does not accept cartridges. It has a built-in proprietary piston fill mechanism. Overall, it's a great pen with a good price.

This was my first Pelikan pen and will not be my last! The writing quality is fantastic. You can really tell the difference between this and a Lamy Safari :) The color is amazing and changes a lot depending on the lighting. Sometimes it seems to almost glow while other times it appears dark and ominous. It's truly a well built pen. It is a little smaller than I had imagined, but I like to post the cap, and it makes it an excellent fit in my hand when doing so.

Though I like classic fountain pens, like Parker "51"s, this Blue Marbled Pelikan M205 is what I keep next to my reading chair in my study. It is totally reliable ... I can pick it up to jog down notes from what I am reading and know it will start without a skip. Pen Chalet gave me a great price and great service when I bought it from them. -Rob

This is a beautiful pen (chatoyance!) with great build quality. I purchased a fine nib which performed perfectly straight out of the box. In my experience (and a lot of this depends on ink and paper), it writes more like a medium-fine than a fine. If you want a true fine, I would recommend ordering an extra-fine.
