This is the Pelikan Souveran D625 Mechanical Pencil. The pencil comes in a blue cardboard box. It has the Pelikan logo on the upper corner of the box-lid, and in a silver color. The box-lid lifts open. The interior of the box is a soft, white, satin interior, and it has the Pelikan logo printed in silver on the underside of the box-lid.

Then, of course, we have the Pelikan Souveran 625 Mechanical Pencil. This is the Aubergine transparent version of the pencil. It has an Aubergine color, both in the barrel and the cap of the pen. On the cap of the pen is the Pelikan logo. It's on a little, small, black medallion, and it has a traditional, Pelikan-style clip on the Souveran pens and pencils. And you can see the vertical, purple or Aubergine stripes on the cap of the pen.

The very bottom of the cap is a small, chrome band. It has the Pelikan, Souveran, and Germany engraved on that ring. And then you can see the Aubergine, transparent barrel. It's kind of a subtle transparency. You can just kind of barely see through it. And then it has the chrome tip to the mechanical pencil.

To extend the lead on the mechanical pencil, it's a twist action. So you just simply twist the cap, and it clicks, and extends the lead. To change the lead on the pencil, you unscrew the cap from the barrel of the pencil. And then you can pull this whole refill chamber out of the center of the pencil. Add a new lead to the pencil.
