About the Stipula Ventidue-22 Toccoferro
Tocco Ferro means iron touch in Italian and the Stipula Ventidue-22 Toccoferro fountain pen has the body of the Venetidue model but made of solid PVD-plated stainless steel. Each pen has different color ink windows and a piston filling system. Fitted with a #6 Bock stainless steel nib and limited to only 31 pieces of each color.

This is one heavy pen! It is all metal except for the ink window. The cap can be posted, but it is extremely back weighted if you choose to do so. The metal section does not balance out the cap, which weighs in at 22g. That’s heavier than many pens! The uncapped pen weighs 35g filled with ink, for a total weight of over 57g. I normally post my pens, but not this one as my hand gets tired after just a few paragraphs. Unposted it is still weighty, but comfortable and well balanced. The section is metal and a bit slick, but manageable as the taper keep my fingers from slipping.
Filling the pen is easy, but cleaning takes a bit more effort than a standard cartridge/converter pen. but it is so very worth it to have that piston and ink window!
The nib is delightful. Though I prefer medium nibs, this fine nib is juicy and smooth, surprisingly so. I’d love to try a medium or broad. Oh, and the Stipula leaf on the top cap ring is a nice touch.

I was curious about the Stipula Ventidue 22 Toccoferro, i did not see to many reviews online, but it looked nice. I finally ordered it from Pen Chalet, received it and inked it up, So Happy with it, it is a stub with a smooth nib, i really am happy with it.
