S.T. Dupont Line D Large Derby Fountain Pens

The S.T. Dupont Line D Large Derby fountain pen is made of Urushi lacquer over solid brass. Using the ancient Japanese and Chinese Urushi technique, master-craftsmen apply up to 9 layers of natural lacquer by hand. The hand-made popoté brown lacquer, accented by yellow gold trims and inlaid vermeil gold 'Derby' generate the iconic atelier style S.T. Dupont is known for. The pearl-like shimmer and luxurious finish of the Urushi on the surface of the pens is also resistant to shocks, scratches and even fire.

The S.T. Dupont Derby Collection is inspired by the derby, a style of boot or shoe characterized by quarters with shoelace eyelets stitched on top of the vamp. Popular for sporting and hunting in the 1850's, the derby boot became appropriate for wear about town by the turn of the 20th century. The detailing that characterizing the derby boot is also known as "brogue". The S.T. Dupont Derby line is a sophisticated pen collection with crisp, classic detailing that highlights the natural lacquer S.T. Dupont is known for.

The S.T. Dupont Line D Large Derby fountain pen features the recently remodeled Line D pen design including the new, bold blazon on the articulated clip and the enhanced 'D' in the cap's crown. The redesign offers a perfectly balanced shape, the iconic 'cling' when the fountain pen cap closes, and a fluted grip section.

The S.T. Dupont Line D Derby fountain pen is fitted with a 14k solid yellow gold nib and is available in a variety of nib sizes.

The S.T. Dupont Line D Derby collection is also available in rollerball and ballpoint. Each piece is presented in a luxury black lacquered box.
