As with other Platinum 3776 fountain pens, the Maki-e comes with a slip and seal cap to keep the ink fresh. The pen has been fitted with a 14k gold nib and comes with a Platinum ink cartridge and converter. The pen comes in a wood gift box.

Platinum 3776 Maki-e Video Script

This is the Platinum 3776 Maki-e fountain pen. It comes in a wood box with a raw finish, and the lid on that box lifts off. The Platinum logo is printed in gold on the underside of the box lid. Included with the pen is information about Platinum, the user's manual, as well as warranty card. And, of course, we have the Platinum 3776 Maki-e fountain pen.

This pen has a black resin cap and barrel with an Urushi finish and Maki-e painting. It has gold-colored trim on the pen, small ring at the top that connects the clip, and simple rounded ends of the pen. The cap is threaded and unscrews, and can be posted on the end of the barrel of the pen. It has a matching section, in a black resin that matches the rest of the pen, with a small ring between the section and the rest of the pen.

The pen comes with a 14-carat gold nib, the Platinum logo engraved on the nib, with a black feed on the backside. It is a cartridge converter style pen, so you unscrew the section from the pen to fill the pen with ink, and included with the pen is a Platinum 500 or 700 converter for bottled inks. There is also an ink cartridge, as well. Since it's a Platinum pen, they have a proprietary cartridge and it only uses Platinum cartridges. Of course, with the converter, you can use all different kinds of bottled inks.
