The Pineider Avatar UR fountain pen has a magnetic catch cap design. Crafted with Glueless technology the pen has been assembled without glue a technological puzzle. Crafted in Italy from and unbreakable marbled color UltraResin UR and silver color trim. The pen accepts a standard international ink cartridge and is fitted with a stainless steel nib. The pen comes in a gift box. Included with the pen are one ink converter and no ink cartridge.

And, of course, we have the Pineider Avatar UR fountain pen. UR stands for ultra resin. It is a resin that's very strong and durable, basically unbreakable. It has a glossy finish on the resin and silver-colored trim on the pen. There is a silver-colored cap at the bottom of the pen, with a clip on the pen that wraps around the top of the cap. It has a hinge design, so it lifts open nice and easily. The center band on the pen at the bottom of the cap has the Pineider logo with a scenery of Italy. It is a magnetic catch on the cap that catches nice and easily. It will post on the end of the barrel of the pen as well. The pen has a matching chrome-colored section with a matching stainless steel nib and a black feed. It is a cartridge converter style pen, so the section unscrews, and an ink converter is included with the pen. You can also use a standard international cartridge as well.

For being an unbreakable pen it only lasted three fills. I had heard stories about the body cracking on the older ones, but I thought they had fixed it. After filling the pen, tightening the nib section to the body is very tricky. No sweet spot, either too loose or too tight. No fun writing with a pen where the body and nib section are constantly fighting each other. I suggest buying a Conklin or any other brand. Heck Noodlers Konrad is my go-to pen of choice foe an EDC.

Received then Pineider Avatar UR Pen today. Ordered it in Med. in Neptune Blue. It is a darker blue then what is pictured on the site here. It does have nice swirl to it. The cap is a magnetic closer which works nicely. Cap does post and stays in place. This is my first Bock nib. Writes really smooth. I inked it Diamine Midnight Hour Sheen Ink. Which picks up the darker blue shade swirls on the pen.

My first Pineider and first #6 nib! Smooth writer but preferred not to use the j. Herbin ink I bought to match. Too wet, does work but wrote more like a M than the F. Otherwise, love it!

The pen arrived in its green box. I hadn’t expected to get so excited with the box’s quality and shape, It is a supreme quality box. I felt pampered!
This pen/box would delight anyone as a gift.
The pen is a beautiful gleaming black with one metal end . It is not lost on me that the metal end is the end the pen will rest in my antique tiny pitcher i use as a pen rest.
•If this tip encounters some stray ink from the pitcher or moisture the resin barrel will not be marked and can be wiped of easily! This is thoughtful.
•The cap self closing is delightful, and precise.
I write unposted - i find this pen to be well balanced a great weight - heavy enough to get that pleasing feel but not too heavy to bring on fatigue!
I like the curved quill clip on the cap It is a work of art -as if the stylized quill is arching down to meet. imaginary paper to write.
When I unboxed the pen I rinsed it with tepid water with a hint of soap followed by tepid distilled water to clear out any. dust or manufacturing residue.
• Inking the piston filler was smooth and intuitive .
At first it did not write. I was patient and allowed the feed to fill.( it doesn't have a breather hole. I allowed the feed time to draw the ink down with capillary action on its own. ( I facilitated this by placing it just this once -feed downward).
My first writing was dry and on was thin. I was a little nervous but i didn’t give up hope. After a bit of patience ( my procedure was gently inverting the pen with a soft cloth protecting the tip of the open pen) .
After three tests ( invert write, invert write, invert write)! It did not disappoint me.
The •Fine nib wrote with a smooth rich flow ( not too wet -not dry at all).I wrote smoothly a delightfully before about an hour. It floats across the page with almost no pressure laying down a detailed line that makes my handwriting look better than usual.
I did not try to flex it nor will i ( I have a dip nib open for that). I would not say it is stiff like some modern steel nibs can be - it feels lively- never scratchy. I allowed it to sit for 12 hours ( capped nib upward)- and it started immediately.
This may become one of my two daily writers. Thank you for your fast well packaged shipping box - fast response to my first order- Pen Chalet!??

I bought this pen as a gift for my wife. She loved it. It is a beautiful pen. The steel nibs writes incredibly smoothly, and is very wet with Iroshizuku ink. It was so nice that I bought one for my self as well. With the recent reductions and discount for being a first-time buyer, it was a bargain. It was shipped quickly, as advertised.

I don't usually buy something pink but this design is so lovely I surrendered. But not only is the design lovely but the pen writes with a smoothness that it makes it a pleasure to write. I am an author who writes with a pen and this is important. Moreover, even though I do not buy a fine nib this one leaves a lovely line. It has become one of the favorites in my collection.

Love this pen...I purchased both the Fountain Pen and the Rollerbal. Gorgeous color and I can't believe how smooth the nib writes. Glides across the paper unlike some other fountain pens I own which are more expensive and scratchy.
