The Monteverde Poquito fountain pen packs a mighty punch. It is both beautiful and stylish. This compact design fountain pen comes with one ink cartridge but you can use any standard universal ink cartridge for a rainbow of colors. Its small size allows easy transport in a purse or pocket making it ideal for on the go everyday use.
*Monteverde fountain pens purchased in 2020 or later, may be packed in the "new" Monteverde pen box, a thin, black plastic box with grey velvet lined interior. The black is encased in a green/black cardboard sleeve featuring the Monteverde branding.

Inside of the box we have the Monteverde Poquito fountain pen as well as information instructions on use of the pen as well as registration instructions for the pen and information about the company Monteverde.
This is the turquoise version of the Monteverde Poquito fountain pen. It comes with chrome accents. The top of the cap comes to a point. It has a chrome tip to it with a chrome clip. On the top of that chrome clip is the Monteverde logo. The clip flares out. It makes it nice and easy to slide into your pocket. It also has a small thin chrome center band. On the backside of the cap we have printed Monteverde USA Poquito. Then on the bottom barrel is just a small chrome button.
The cap is a compression fit and it simply snaps off. Now, this is a smaller pen so it a little bit small in my hands to write without it posted. You can post the pen which makes it a little bit bigger, a little more manageable for larger hands. The great thing about the size though is it makes it real easy to carry in a pocket or a purse because it is nice, small and compact.
The nib section of the barrel is chrome as well as the stainless steel chrome plated nib.
To replace the ink of the Monteverde Poquito fountain pen we simply unscrew the nib section from the barrel. Included with the pen is one ink cartridge. There is no converter included with this pen.
This of course is the turquoise version of the Monteverde Poquito fountain pen. It also comes in a few other colors. Here we have the pink version with chrome accents. We also have the stone grey version of the pen with chrome accents.

I love this little pen. It's a beautiful addition to an evening bag or one to store in a pocket notebook. I have had issues with the nib and skippy writing, hard starting. I think I might need to adjust the flow. But otherwise, the solid silver color is elegant and the size is practical for those times when you want your fountain pen but wish it would fit in a pocket.

I bought the turquoise poquito, it's an everyday pen and good for beginners. I didn't realize how small it was. it's more for women hands, it's sleek and writes smooth. It easily fits in pockets and bags. Its a real nice pen. I'm going to buy another one in the silver.

This is a fun compact thin fountain pen. At under $30 it's a good fit with most other metal pocket sized pens costing more. I like that it still has a clip although I'm not in love with the flared top of the clip. I like all the color offerings but the stone grey is definitely my favorite. With Kaweco releasing a new squeeze converter that fits short international cartridge pens it's easy to fill with any ink but I'll likely keep it filled with cartridges for a while just for the convenience. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a pocket pen in this price range. Solid pen.
