And, of course, we have the Montegrappa NeroUno fountain pen. This has a kind of a hexagonal shape cap and barrel. You can see the chrome-colored accents on the pen. The top of the cap comes to a point. It is also kind of squared off to where it has kind of little sections. You can kind of see that with the light of the camera.
The top of the cap has a very thick band with the Montegrappa printed on it and Italia on the backside, and then it has a clip with a small roller at the bottom, makes it easier to slide into your pocket. It's a little stiff clip. And it has the chrome-colored section...or, I'm sorry, ring at the bottom of the cap and, once again, a ring on the very bottom with 1912 there on the bottom of the barrel of the pen. 1912 was the year that Montegrappa started.
The cap is threaded and unscrews. Nice tight threads, I really like the way that those work on the pen. Pretty good sized pen, don't necessarily need the pen posted, but the cap does post on the pen. You can see the section there, a black, glossy, resin section. It has a chrome band at the very end of the pen, and then you can see the nib on the pen. It has a little bit of a unique shape to it. Looks kind of like the sides are kind of bent down in the Montegrappa logo, you can see the feed there on the backside.
To change the ink on the pen, you simply unscrew the section from the barrel of the pen. Included is a Montegrappa ink converter if you'd rather use bottle inks. Great pen, like the design. It kind of has some unique shapes with those little slashes or cuts through the barrel and cap of the pen. Montegrappa, great brand. Get your Montegrappa NeroUno fountain pen at PenChalet.com!

Montegrappa NeroUno Reviews
This pen has an updated nib that does not look anything like the one in the picture or video. I experienced hard starts, skipping often and it has been really an unreliable writer. I have cleaned this pen thoroughly and have tried using this pen in my daily rotation with different reliable inks in my arsenal- pelikan edelstein, pilot iroshizuku, Akkerman, Caran d'ache, Diamine, Noodlers, Montblanc and even tried Montegrappa ink (not much experience with this ink) but it fails to meet my expectations. Very much shame at this price point. Very much a let down.
