Leonardo Officina Italiana Furore Video Script

This is the Leonardo Furore fountain pen. It comes in a colorful cardboard sleeve that slides off. There is a cardboard sleeve inside of that that is black. It has the Leonardo Officina Italiana logo and that sleeve slides off as well. Inside there is a basic box for the pen with a hinge-style lid on the box. Included with the pen is information about the Furore on the warranty and other information. Under the other side of the box lid is the Leonardo logo.

And then, of course, we have the Leonardo Furore fountain pen. This happens to be the red version of the pen. It has a vintage style look with the pointed ends. Soft ends with a rhodium-plated or silver-colored trim with a ring at the bottom of the barrel of the pen. There is a ring in the center of the pen as well as two rings on the cap. A roller ball at the end of the clip makes it easy to get it in and out of a pocket.

It is a threaded cap that will unscrew. It can be posted on the pen and the section matches the rest of the color of the resin on the pen with a stainless steel silver colored nib. It is engraved with the Leonardo logo has a black feed. It is a cartridge converter pen, so to change the ink on the pen, you'll unscrew the section from the pen and included is a Leonardo ink converter for use with bottled inks. You can also add a standard international ink cartridge if you would like to use cartridges as well. The Leonardo Furore fountain pens are made in Italy. It is a fairly new brand but they make great products. Get your Leonardo Furore fountain pen at PenChalet.com!

I like the appointments of the pen, including a nice sized nib. However, I prefer an medium nib and the Furore's medium nib is closer to a fine than a true medium. The pen balances well in the hand without posting. It writes well, no skips, etc., but it does write fairly dry. Personally I prefer a wetter line.

I got it in Passion Red, and it looks good, but I think I would have liked it better in one of the other colors. For the price it's a good pen pen if you're fine with a thinner medium and don't mind a nib that writes moderately dry.

The pen is really beautiful but unfortunately the stub nib I got is really scratchy! Looking closer at the tines under my magnifying glass I noticed that there is a gap between them. Maybe I just got a bad nib? The quality of the resin and other parts are great. But the nib could make or break a pleasant writing experience.
