About the LeBoeuf Harry Truman Limited Edition
The LeBoeuf Harry Truman Limited Edition fountain pen is a true masterpiece that pays tribute to the 33rd President of the United States. This pen has been expertly crafted using only the finest materials and features a design that captures the essence of Truman's legacy.
The pen's barrel is made with a special exclusive acrylic called Key West Marble Green. This material was purposefully selected to represent Harry Truman’s connection to Key West Florida and his summer home there, known as the ‘Little White House”. The beautiful barrel is framed by a black resin cap, and a matching end cap. The coordinating gold plated trim is seen on the finial with a likeness of Harry Truman, on the pen clip, the thin rings near the bottom of the cap, the thin rings near the top and bottom of the pen's barrel, and in Harry Truman's gold-filled signature on the barrel. The fountain pen's #6 stainless steel nib is plated to match the trim. The years Truman spent as president are featured in gold at the bottom of the pen cap. Whether you are writing a letter or signing an important document, the Harry Truman Limited Edition Fountain Pen is sure to impress.
Harry Truman was born on May 8, 1884 and grew up in Independence Missouri. After his time as a soldier in World War I, Truman was involved in a number of business ventures before entering the world of politics. Truman was elected to the U.S. Senate in 1934, and during his time as a senator, Truman supported the New Deal. During World War II, Truman became a national figure as chairman of the "Truman Committee" investigating government defense spending. In 1944, President Franklin D. Roosevelt chose Truman as his running mate and the team's comfortable victory over their Republican opposition ended with Truman serving only eighty two days as Vice President. FDR's death on April 12, 1945 meant Harry S. Truman became the thirty-third President of the United States.
President Truman spent almost eight years in office confronting enormous challenges (both foreign and domestic). Truman's foreign policy (particularly related to the Soviet Union in the emerging Cold War) became staples of American foreign policy for generations to come. Here in the United States, Truman spent his term protecting and reinforcing the New Deal reform, guiding the American economy from war-time to peace-time footing, and advancing African-American civil rights cause. Truman is often ranked as one of the best U.S. presidents by historians.
