The LeBoeuf Abraham Lincoln Limited Edition fountain pen is a tribute to Honest Abe. “Honest Abe” was a nickname that Abraham Lincoln embraced with pride. He believed in his own integrity and worked diligently to maintain his reputation as an honest politician and lawyer – something that wasn't always easy. Abraham Lincoln became the United States' 16th President in 1861, and in 1863, he issued the Emancipation Proclamation that declared forever free those slaves within the Confederacy. During his time as president, Abraham Lincoln waged a political struggle and civil war that preserved the Union, ended slavery and created the possibility of civil and social freedom for African-Americans. On November 19, 1863, Lincoln presented the Gettysburg address,
now recognized as one of the world's greatest speeches. Lincoln was re-elected president in November 1864. His Second Inaugural address was delivered less than six weeks before his assassination on April 14, 1865.

The LeBoeuf Abraham Lincoln Limited Edition fountain pen is made from an exclusive Hickory Brown/Bluegrass Blue marbleized acrylic chosen to represent Abraham Lincoln's Kentucky roots beginning with his childhood log cabin home. Abraham Lincoln did not attend any college or university. He had only about a year's worth of formal education throughout his entire life. Each LeBoeuf Abraham Lincoln Limited Edition fountain pen was carefully turned, and polished to a vibrant luster with Abraham Lincoln’s famous signature in Gold on the pen's barrel. A gold coin showing a bust of Lincoln is fitted on the finial.

Each LeBoeuf Abraham Lincoln fountain pen is a cartridge converter fountain pen compatible with standard international size converters and ink cartridges, and each pen is fitted with a German gold-plated stainless steel nib branded with the LeBoeuf logo.
