The Ferris Wheel Press Satin Series Brush fountain pens are a reintroduction of the brand's signature Brush Fountain Pen. Inspired by luxurious charmeuse satins, the Satin Series means your Brush Fountain Pen's iconic silhouette now comes swathed in the most elegant, smooth, matte finish.
Handmade from copper, brass, and stainless steel, the Ferris Wheel Press Satin Series Brush fountain pen is a well-balanced fine writing instrument. Like the original Brush fountain pen, the Satin Series Brush Fountain Pen brings the familiar look, and feel of its namesake, the artist's paintbrush. The recognizable silhouette draws parallels to the traditional ferrule, a paintbrush's metal section designed to hold the brush's bristles. The shape, now indicative of creativity and inspiration, was designed for a good balance in the hand, and comfort over long periods of time.
The intricate etchings on the brush pen's grip are influenced by the mechanical components of the vintage printmaking equipment at Ferris Wheel Press, specifically the flywheel of the 1912 Pearl letterpress, the type hammers of an Underwood typewriter, and the ruler on a cast iron paper guillotine. The beautifully engraved brass grip will patina over time for a beautiful reflection of your time spent creating with the pen.
The full copper body features satin enamel coating in multiple colors. The well-known brass nut brings attention to the pen's cap. Each pen is fitted with a stainless steel nib. Available in fine or medium nib sizes. Pens use a cartridge converter filling system and are compatible with standard international size converters. Each pen comes fitted with a piston-style converter.
