About the Diplomat Aero
The Diplomat Aero fountain pen has smooth lines and a streamlined body. Feel the legacy of the Zeppelin in the design. Made from full aluminum casting that is anodized and matte chrome fittings. The body has groove-like depressions on both the cap and the barrel. The pen has a soft sliding click cap design. Finished with a stainless steel nib or a gold fountain pen nib (only available in some color variations).

It has a metal section with a matte finished in that silver color with either a choice of the stainless or gold nib on this pen, and it is a cartridge converter-style pen. You can change the ink by unscrewing the section from the barrel of the pen, and included is an ink converter for bottled inks. You can also add a standard international ink cartridge as well. Underneath the false bottom of the box there is a couple of ink cartridges as well as the warranty and information about the pen.

Diplomat Aero Video Script
This is the Diplomat Aero fountain pen. It comes in a silver aluminum shell box that slides off. There is a cardboard box underneath with the Diplomat logo. And, of course, we have the Diplomat Aero fountain pen. It has a cigar-style shape that is pointed towards the ends. On the top of the cap, the Diplomat logo is printed, and it has a metal clip. It has the Diplomat logo at the bottom of the cap as well. On both the cap and barrel, it has small recessed sections and a silver tip at the very end of the barrel of the pen. All metal, both the cap and barrel but it doesn't feel overly heavy. It does feels like this is made out of aluminum. It has a pressurized cap that snaps on and snaps off that slowly goes on until it clicks. I got this in a broad nib. It’s so smooth and amazing to write with it surprised me. Comfortable to write with for long periods. Tight cap so nib doesn’t dry out. Good buy.

My Diplomat Aero in the Champagne is one of my favorite pens. I've wanted one of these pens for some time and when Pen Chalet offered them at a great price and in the color that was my favorite, I couldn't resist. It's a lovely pen and writes perfectly. It is currently inked with FWP's Sparkling Champagne - a perfect combination if ever there was. The pen fits my hand so well and writing with it - it's like silk. The words just glide onto the paper as if by magic. Lovely.

This pen has a beautiful anodized aluminum finish, which is very durable. Its design is unique, inspired by dirigibles (Zeppelins) of the past. It is a superb writer. And minorly, this pen has one of the most satisfying clicks when capped.

I ordered the black/gray with a fine nib. The pen has exceeded my expectations, aesthetically, with the writing performance, and being balanced in the hand. I keep it inked all the time. The nib is perfect for my writing style not too wet, with a true fine line and a touch of feedback. The section worried me since it was anodized metal which might create slippery grip. Only when my hands have been very dry did it seem like my fingers slid down the section but overall it has not been a problem. With the Pen Chalet discount this pen was a bargain for what you get.

I finally opened the box to actually use the pen, rather than just admiring it. At first I thought it was heavy, but it nestled in my hand comfortably. The lilac color is just beautiful. The pen is a lovely smooth writer, and for some reason, I am really amused by the shape of the pen. It has been welcomed by my other purple pens, and the Aero nests together with my LAMY dark purple, Monteverte Ritma purple and my Leonardo Prugna plum. They are no doubt plotting their escape together. Aero will lead the way.

I ordered the black version with a fine nib. I appreciate the unique design, the satisfying snap of the cap and the feel of the fluted anodized aluminum body. It wrote a little dry out of the box, but after flushing the pen the ink flow improved and it went from a good writer to an excellent writer. I keep it inked almost all the time and use it on a regular basis. Despite the section being metal I do not find it to be slippery. I am extremely pleased with the purchase and the fantastic deal I got on it from Pen Chalet.

I always liked to the look of the Diplomat Aero but thought that the metal body would make it too cumbersome when writing. Sometimes it's nice to be wrong. While the Areo is heavier than some of my other pens it is very comfortable to write with. Also nib replacement is very easy so I can change out nib types to suit my mood.
