About the Conklin Mark Twain Crescent Vintage Green
The Mark Twain Crescent Vintage Green fountain pen is available in either fin, medium or 1.1mm stub stainless steel nibs. The pen has the same original 1916 clip design, a spring loaded rocker clip with the Conklin logo.
Recognized as the first self-filling fountain pen, the Conklin Mark Twain has a patented Crescent fill system. An internal bladder is compressed with a small crescent lever to pull the ink inside the pen. A small ring acts a clip at the center of the barrel after filling to prevent accidental compression of the lever.

Of course, we have the Conklin Mark Twain Crescent fountain pen. This is the vintage green color that has gold colored trim on the pen. You can see the traditional Conklin logo found on the clip with a push button on the end to open it. This makes it really easy to put the pen into your pocket. The Conklin logo on the center band of the pen with Mark Twain signature on the backside.
On the middle of the barrel of the pen, there is a Conklin arch with a locking mechanism. You can see the little groove or channel that you line up to allow the filling mechanism to compress. If it is twisted, then it is locked in place. You don't want to compress it when the pen is filled as it will release any ink.
The cap is threaded. It unscrews and can be posted on the pen. The pen comes with a two-tone Conklin stainless steel nib as well as the feed.
