This is the Sailor Millecolore ballpoint pen. It has different color resins throughout the barrel. It has white, pink and red. On the top of the pen we have the Sailor logo printed, just in gold, and it has a gold band separating each of the resin sections. So we have a gold band with a gold clip on the pen, and then a thin gold band to separate the pink and the white section. The pink section is kind of a pearl, kind of a pearlized resin. It looks really nice. Then, on the bottom of the cap is Sailor Japan, Founded 1911, engraved into that. And then we have the alternating red, pink, and white sections of the barrel with those gold bands. And then, there's a gold tip to the pen.
This is a twist action ballpoint pen. So to extend the refill, you simply twist the cap in a clockwise direction, or counter-clockwise to retract that. Now, to change the refill, the cap simply slides off. It's a compression fit. And then, you unscrew this black portion of the pen and the refill comes out. It takes a Sailor Chalana refill, and then you simply slide the cap back on, and the pen is ready to go.
