This sleeve has thick leather for protection. The soft leather dermis surface on the inside prevents scratching of the pen. Sewing is strong, with thick thread material.
Large pens can fit this sleeve, including the Sailor King of Pen, the Wancher Urushi Dream Pen. They just tuck in about 3 mm short of the top of the sleeve.
Super giant pens such as the Gama Supreme will fit, but the pen sticks out 3/4 inch above the top of the sleeve.
Small pens such as the Montblanc 149 will fit completely into this sleeve.
Well worth the price!

The case keeps the pen in place with friction. The end does not close but is long enough that most pens are completely covered when inserted into the case.
