The limited edition Conklin Duraflex Freedom fountain pen has only 1898 pieces made worldwide. This spirited and vibrant version of the Duragraph pen has confetti-like patterns on the cap and barrel in red, white and blue. The pen has silver color trim with a matching stainless steel OmniFlex nib. Each pen comes with a converter as well as standard international ink cartridges.

I'm hopelessly addicted to the Duragraph/Duraflex pens. They are beautiful, a good size and write great. Especially the stub nibs IMHO.

Nice pen in a snazzy color. The "flex" nib (2nd Gen) takes some breaking in. I realize that this is a controversial issue, but it seems to me, flex or semiflex nibs rarely do well right out of the box. I was patient with this pen, and after a few months, I'm getting some good variation from the nib. Conklin pens are quality products, so the construction is very good. It's barrel is long enough, so most writers will enjoy the pen unposted; however, if you like to post, even with a large hand---like mine---it may feel a little back-weighted. Also, the Conklin cap is quite roomy around the nib, so thicker, sheening inks may cause hard starts if you don't use your pen daily. As "flexy" pens go, this is better than any Noodlers or Indian-origin pens I've had, and just a step below some of the gold nibs that are obscenely expensive. But you have to write a couple miles of ink to loosen it up.

I bought one then bought this one. Great nib and pen. Nib is smooth and writes beautifully. Although it will flex, I find it perfect to write with just as it is.

Everything about the Duraflex Freedom says upgraded. It looks and feels like there's thicker, higher polished lacquer on it. Great balance posted or not. Gives a smooth fine line writing experience without having to think about it. Ready to flex? It is ready, too. I love flex pens and this one snaps back to the crisp fine line faster than any I have. It's highly responsive. The flex lines are beautiful and smooth. I have to really push it to get it to RR or starve. Even then, it recovers super quick and it's off to the races again. Writing with this Duraflex makes it look like I know what I'm doing. I'm so impressed!! It easily beats my Pilot Falcon. Never thought I'd say that.
I only gave a slight ding on style due to being overloaded on Americana stuff lately. No biggie.
