The Conklin Endura Limited Edition ballpoint pen is made from real seashells from New Zealand. After hand-turning and hand polishing, the pen's finish is a surreal swirl of intense colors from deep cobalt blue to peacock green and many creams, pinks, and purples in between. The pen's barrel brilliantly reflects shimmering light to enhance the naturally stunning colors of the Abalone shell material. Pens are limited to only 1898 pieces.

This is a beautiful pen, which has elicited numerous comments and questions from people who've seen me using it. It's also a bit on the bigger, heavier side, which I like. I'm generally a Conklin fan, but this one may be my favorite not only because of its unique apppearance but also because it's heavier than the other Conklins that I have.
I purchased mine on sale (and with a coupon), but I still would have been more than happy with the purchase had I paid full price.

A beautiful and substantial pen that is a joy to write with in my daily life. I also have the fountain pen--I really love the abalone. Such a beautiful instrument that glimmers and changes in the light.

I had purchased the beautiful fountain pen version and enjoyed the writing experience. I saw this ballpoint version and knew I had to add this to my Abalone collection. This pen has some heft and girth compared to a few of my Cross and Retro51 ballpoint pens. I have some joint issues in my writing hand and so the extra weight and girth makes this Abalone pen comfortable to hold and write with. Did I mention how gorgeous and beautiful this Abalone is? Conklin hit both the ballpoint and fountain pen out of the park. Well made!
