The Visconti Van Gogh Flowering Plum Orchard rollerball pens are inspired by an oil painting in Van Gogh's Japanese series created in 1887. Van Gogh's work was created off of a Hiroshige print called Plum Garden in Kameido. Van Gogh accurately reproduced the composition, adding more intense colors to replace the black and grey of Hiroshige's tree trunk with red and blue tones. He also added two orange borders with Japanese characters for a decorative, exotic effect.

The Visconti Van Gogh Flowering Plum Orchard rollerball pen is a beautiful acrylic resin finished with Vermeil trim (yellow gold) that adds light to the red, green, and brown acrylic resin.
