About the Platinum 3776 Oshino

Due to the popularity of the 2011 version of the Platinum 3776 fountain pen with its transparent body, Platinum has introduced a new demonstrator. The Platinum 3776 Oshino fountain pen has a clear body with a new more transparency.

Named after Oshino Hakkai, a popular destination with beautiful springs from Mount Fuji. The Platinum 3776 Oshino fountain pen comes with the same Slip & Seal cap design found on 3776 fountain pens. The pen has been fitted with a 14k rhodium plated gold nib and matching rhodium plated clip and trim. Each pen comes with one Platinum ink cartridge as well as a converter.

Platinum 3776 Oshino Video Script

This is the Platinum 3776 Oshino Fountain Pen. It comes in a white cardboard box. The Platinum logo printed in blue on the box. And inside is a blue faux-leather box for the pen. Clamshell-style lid that lifts open. On the underside of the box lid is the Platinum logo in gold and information about the pen. The first 3,000 pens are numbered. There is also a warranty card and a user manual for the pen. It is a cartridge converter-style pen, so included with the Oshino is a Platinum ink cartridge and converter. The converter will allow you to use bottled inks. Since it is a Platinum pen it only will accept the Platinum cartridges. It is a proprietary cartridge for the pen.

The Oshino 3776 has a clear cap and barrel with chrome-colored trim on the pen. It has the traditional style and shape of a Platinum 3776, with the slip-and-seal cap on the top of the pen. It also has a ring on the bottom of the cap of the pen engraved with "3776 Century Platinum" and "Made in Japan". You can see there is a slight design, where light reflects from the inner design. It has a smooth outer contour but inside it has a different shape to it. It creates reflections on the barrel of the pen. There is then a small ring at the bottom of the barrel.

The cap is threaded and unscrews. With the size of this pen you would probably would want to post it, although you can use it without, either way. It has a 14-karat gold nib, with "Platinum 3776" engraved as well as the Platinum "P" on it with a black feed on the pen. It is a cartridge converter style pen, so to change the ink you unscrew the section and either insert the cartridge that is included, or the converter, whichever you would prefer.

Great design. Love the way the Platinum 3776 pens write. Get your Platinum 3776 Oshino Fountain Pen at PenChalet.com!

Great for my note taking needs. Bought the Medium Nib. Even better ink control than my Century 3776. Nib might be a bit stiff and a bit too much feedback for some tastes, but it is exactly what I needed for my note taking and the variety of paper I use. I typically use Ampad Gold Fiber Pads, which are probably not the best for fountain pens. Using Platinum Blue/Black cartridges.

Nice pen as with all 3776’s. The quality is consistent. I do wish the Soft Medium nib was offered - I have it in several others and it’s fantastic!

Very cool looking pen. I ordered a fine which is a little too fine for my tastes. The ink flows well and the Platinum nibs are great.
