Pelikan Art Collection Art Collection Special Edition Glauco Cambon M600 fountain pens introduce a never-before-seen look for Pelikan while retaining the familiarity of the Souverän. The renewed concept is deeply rooted in Pelikan's history, and provides the perfect opportunity for them to introduce their brand new design process that creates a holographic effect that makes this Pelikan release stand out amidst its peers. The unique barrel design radiates color and light; effectively imbuing the pen design with energy and life. While the special edition keeps the same popular fountain pen nib seen in previous M600 releases, the design is slightly adjusted for the Special Edition Glauco Cambon to give the pen a bit of extra weight in the piston filling system.

The Pelikan Special Edition Glauco Cambon M600 fountain pen features black resin in the section, pen cap, and piston knob. The pen's trim is plated in 24-kt gold. The pen's body features a colorful holographic look that is new for Pelikan, so exciting for pen collectors. The array of colors reflecting light in the pen's material was inspired by the multi-colored pelicans included in Glauco Cambon's poster, intending to bring the classic art to life.

The light-reflecting design is created using the Aurora Process, starting with a brass tube engraved and guilloched with thin grooves to create a unique holographic effect. The engraving and guilloche are followed by ten layers of clear lacquer, polished before the color design is printed. One last final polish (completed in multiple steps) creates a high sheen on the finished barrel.

Each Pelikan Art Collection Special Edition Glauco Cambon M600 fountain pen is packaged in a custom, themed pen box featuring the art used as inspiration for the design. The box's exterior designates the pen as belonging to the Art Collection along with the Pelikan name and logo, and the box opens with a magnetic closure. The box interior features Glauco Cambon’s poster and the fountain pen. Under the pen box's false bottom, Pelikan includes a booklet with information about the brand and the pen collection, along with a print of the Glauco Cambon poster on heavy stock.
