Tono & Lims\u2019 Kaleidoscope Ink Collection<\/strong> <\/a>is all about shifting perspectives and unexpected beauty\u2014just like the view through a real kaleidoscope. Each color in this series offers a unique aesthetic, and Ibuki is no exception. It\u2019s a color that may surprise you, especially when you test it out on different paper types or with different nib sizes.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

At first glance Tono & Lims Ibuki<\/strong> is a light, unique brown<\/strong> that feels subtle and earthy. Don\u2019t let the softness fool you\u2014it\u2019s got personality. While it may look delicate on the page, it has some hidden strength, especially in how it performs during our ink tests. It’s also a fluorescent ink, which means it should have a reaction to ultraviolet light (UV light). We’ll check it out during today’s review.*<\/p>\r\n

*After checking out the reaction of the ink to UV light, I realized that the reaction is really only visible while the ink is wet. If you look at the ink under UV light while the ink is still wet, it has comes off as a chalky, fluorescent yellow, but this effect fades as it dries. So, it’s not really a property or feature most people would need to consider when deciding whether or not the ink will be a good choice. Once the ink dries, Ibuki ink is a greyish-light brown color with good shading properties.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
