<\/a>Wearingeul 30ml inks are packaged in classy white boxes with clear labeling and a square glass ink bottle. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\nWearingeul Dracula ink comes in the brand\u2019s 30ml glass ink bottle. It has a classic (and very usable) square shape, and the bottle comes packaged inside a branded white box with clear labeling showing the ink color as the label background and text indicating the color name and ink series. The labeling also indicates standard or glistening (which I find very helpful).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
How Fast Did Wearingeul Dracula Ink Dry? <\/h2>\n\n\n\n
We conducted a dry test and saw a dry time of about 10 seconds. That’s not bad for such vivid RED ink.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
How Does Wearingeul Dracula Ink Hold Up Against Water?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
We also put today\u2019s ink to a water test. (We always do this even when the inks aren\u2019t promoted as waterproof \u2013 just to see how NOT waterproof they are and what we can expect if they are exposed to moisture). To test the ink’s reaction to water, we put down a writing sample, let it dry for a minute, and then run a wet cotton swab over the writing. Here’s what we noticed:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n- Significant running of the ink<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- No bleeding of ink through the paper<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- feathering present<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- some line distortion<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
To summarize, Dracula does not like water, and after he is exposed to water, he looks like he got wet. But then…I suppose we all knew that. Of course, Dracula doesn’t like water; that’s not his style.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Wearingeul Dracula Ink Review: 1-Dip Test<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
We also ran a quick 1 Dip Test to see how far the ink could write with just one dip of the dip pen. Dracula ink could write all three lines on paper with plenty of ink left over.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It shows up very well on paper, and while it does not hold up well after water test, it does have a good dry time, and it’s a perfect fall color ink (AND perfect Halloween ink, which makes sense as it’s seen on this year’s 2024 Top 20 Halloween Picks List<\/a>). I love that this ink is so perfectly fitting for DRACULA, Halloween, and fall, but I love it even more because that icy blue shimmer combined with the deep crimson of fresh blood is such a perfect reflection of the timeless nature of dark romance and intrigue found in classic literature. <\/a>Today\u2019s featured ink is from the Wearingeul World Literature Ink Collection<\/a>: Dracula. Dracula ink is a deep, dark crimson hue that can look almost velvety with a blue shimmer that glistens through the dark red. Inspired by Bram Stoker’s Dracula, this ink fits the vampire red theme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Let’s learn a little about the ink collection that includes today’s featured ink. The Wearingeul World Literature Collection offers 30ml fountain pen inks inspired by iconic works of literature. Writers and artists can rediscover the stories they love through vibrant, distinct ink colors. As of October 2024, 33 fountain pen inks were in the Wearingeul World Literature ink collection. But today, we’re going to look at Dracula!<\/p>\n\n\n\n Now that you have all the background information about today\u2019s ink let\u2019s go ahead and dive right into the Wearingeul Dracula ink review. We\u2019ll review the packaging and then get into our standard ink review tests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Wearingeul Dracula ink comes in the brand\u2019s 30ml glass ink bottle. It has a classic (and very usable) square shape, and the bottle comes packaged inside a branded white box with clear labeling showing the ink color as the label background and text indicating the color name and ink series. The labeling also indicates standard or glistening (which I find very helpful).<\/p>\n\n\n\n We conducted a dry test and saw a dry time of about 10 seconds. That’s not bad for such vivid RED ink.<\/p>\n\n\n\n We also put today\u2019s ink to a water test. (We always do this even when the inks aren\u2019t promoted as waterproof \u2013 just to see how NOT waterproof they are and what we can expect if they are exposed to moisture). To test the ink’s reaction to water, we put down a writing sample, let it dry for a minute, and then run a wet cotton swab over the writing. Here’s what we noticed:<\/p>\n\n\n\n To summarize, Dracula does not like water, and after he is exposed to water, he looks like he got wet. But then…I suppose we all knew that. Of course, Dracula doesn’t like water; that’s not his style.<\/p>\n\n\n\n We also ran a quick 1 Dip Test to see how far the ink could write with just one dip of the dip pen. Dracula ink could write all three lines on paper with plenty of ink left over.<\/p>\n\n\n\n We also looked for any special traits or properties you might want to hear about during the Dracula review. The deep crimson ink has a DEFINITE blue shimmer that you can see in swatches and writing. Sometimes, the blue shimmer can look more purple than blue due to the combo of blue with the deep crimson-red ink. We also saw some shading potential.<\/p>\n\n\n\n We saw no evidence of ghosting during the Dracula ink review. (We conducted the dry test and water test using Rhodia paper). <\/p>\n\n\n\n We didn\u2019t see any feathering during today\u2019s review, either!<\/p>\n\n\n\n Hopefully, you got to know Dracula ink a little better in today’s ink review. I like this unique colored ink of deep crimson and blue\/purple shimmer. It shows up very well on paper, and while it does not hold up well after water test, it does have a good dry time, and it’s a perfect fall color ink (AND perfect Halloween ink, which makes sense as it’s seen on this year’s 2024 Top 20 Halloween Picks List<\/a>). I love that this ink is so perfectly fitting for DRACULA, Halloween, and fall, but I love it even more because that icy blue shimmer combined with the deep crimson of fresh blood is such a perfect reflection of the timeless nature of dark romance and intrigue found in classic literature. It adds an element of gothic story to your writing. And the bold, versatile color combo makes sure your pen never lacks a bit of sophisticated drama.
