Today’s featured ink is one of two fountain pen ink in the Colorverse Artist Edition Yonwoong Sung set<\/a>. The set was a limited edition collaboration between Colorverse and Korean artist Yeonwoong Sung to celebrate the artist\u2019s 10th solo exhibition, \u201cThe Picnic.\u201d The color choices are a homage to the artist’s paintings, which use black-and-white check patterns and the play of light and shade.       In today’s Colorverse Check ink review, we put the ink through our standard ink review tests. You can check out the actual testing in the below image. The tests were conducted on Rhodia lined paper (a very popular brand of fountain pen-friendly paper products).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Colorverse Check Ink Review Testing Factors:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      For today’s Colorverse Check ink review, we used one of Pilot\u2019s Iro-Utsushi dip pens with a medium-sized nib on Rhodia lined paper. You could see different results if you use a different size nib or paper or have a significantly different writing style.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      The Colorverse Check fountain pen ink is packaged in a white cardboard box with added protection\/padding inside the box. The box is designed to deliver the pair of inks side by side (one large and one small) without damage and with a good amount of style. The Check ink is in the 65ml tear-shaped glass bottle with a twist cap. (This distinctive ink bottle is a very popular look. Pen and ink fans love the unique shape and easy functionality). Inside the box, Colorverse includes a card that offers more information about the artist who collaborated on the project and whose work inspired the pair of inks.       How Did This Week\u2019s Ink Fair in the 1-Dip Test?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      In today’s ink review, Check fountain pen ink wrote all three lines on paper with plenty of ink left over on the dip pen. (The 1-dip test results in the ink review tests are in the image above). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

      In today’s ink review, we found that Colorverse Check ink has a 10 sec +\/- dry time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Does Colorverse Check Ink Bleed Through? <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      We saw no ink bleed through with Check fountain pen ink during our ink review tests. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Was There Any Feathering with Colorverse Check Ink?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      We didn’t see any feathering with this ink either. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

      How Does this Colorverse Ink Stand Up to Water?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      We always like to put our inks to a water test – even if the ink is not waterproof. Watching how it responds to water exposure is helpful for those seeking a more permanent ink and for artists looking for the opposite effects. Here’s how Colorverse Check fountain pen ink responded when we exposed a dry writing sample to water by running a wet cotton swab over the writing: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

      • Practically zero fading of lines<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Very slight, if not zero, feathering of ink<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • The ink was spread out fairly easily but did not bleed through or run<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
