Herbin spiral glass dip pen (with a tip comparable to a medium-fine fountain pen nib). We put the ink to the test on one of Ferris Wheel Press&#8217;s own paper products, the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.penchalet.com\/pen_accessories\/memo_books_notebooks\/ferris_wheel_press_fether_collection_memo_and_notebooks.html\"> Fether Notebook in Always Right<\/a> Lady Rose (176-page acid-free dot grid notebook that use ink bleed and feathering resistant brilliant white 100 gsm paper stock designed to be fountain pen and brush marker friendly). The inks also have internal protection built into the inner box. The Ferris Wheel Press 38ml ink bottle is display quality, easy to open, and unique with an interesting brass lug nut cap. Look for the best prices at PenChalet.com.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What was the Dry Time During the Mirror Mirror of Moraine Ink Review?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>During our review, Ferris Wheel Press Mirror Mirror of Moraine ink showed a dry time of approximately 5 seconds with medium to high saturation, so we\u2019d put it on our list of approved inks for everyday use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Did Mirror Mirror of Moraine Show Any Bleed Through During the Ink Review?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We saw no bleeding during normal use, but we did see significant bleeding when we made the ink splash on the Ferris Wheel Press Colorswatch Book. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Was There Any Feathering with Mirror Mirror of Moraine Ink?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We saw no feathering during normal use, but there was slight feathering during the water test, which is normal for non-waterproof ink.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How Does Mirror Mirror of Moraine Ink Stand Up to Water?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Ferris Wheel Press Mirror Mirror of Moraine ink is not waterproof, but we always do a water test anyway. We like to see how our inks withstand water exposure; that way we have an idea of how they\u2019ll react if it ever occurs. For this water test, we let our ink sample dry for about 3 minutes before we ran a wet cotton swab over the sample to observe the effect. Here\u2019s what we saw when we subjected Mirror Mirror of Moraine to our standard water test:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Slight color smearing<\/li><li>Lines still completely legible<\/li><li>Very minimal distortion<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Ferris Wheel Press Mirror Mirror of Moraine ink performed really well in the water test, considering it&#8217;s not a waterproof fountain pen ink. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Does this Week\u2019s Ink Show Good Shading and Shimmer Traits?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Ferris Wheel Press Mirror Mirror of Moraine ink is not a shimmer ink and has no sheening trait, but it did show a bit of shading possibilities &#8211; depending on penmanship, and saturation. When saturation is consistent with this ink, the ink color was also consistent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Final Conclusion on Ferris Wheel Press Mirror Mirror of Moraine Ink:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Ferris Wheel Press Mirror Mirror of Moraine ink is a mid-range price ink from a Canadian company fairly new to the industry known for their beautiful branding, packaging and product colors. The 38ml ink is a lovely, vivid turquoise-blue color that goes down dark on paper, making it easy to read. In addition, the dry time was fairly quick (about 5 seconds) which means we think this ink makes a great everyday ink choice. As we already hinted, Ferris Wheel Press inks are packaged beautifully, with a jewelry-inspired bottle with a brass colored lug nut cap with a great seal, and top notch branding from front to back &#8211; and top to bottom. The ink bottles are interesting and different, and you can even lay them on their side and stack them &#8211; it makes a great look when you&#8217;ve got your inks stacked on your desk or on a storage shelf.
