When this pen arrived I was pleasantly surprised by its size. Being my first Nahvalur, I didn\u2019t know what to expect. It\u2019s not heavy, but it is bigger than I thought it would be…and who doesn\u2019t love a nice big-sized pen?! I know I do! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is the Nahvalur Nautilus Fountain Pen Made Of?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Nahvalur Nautilus pen is not meant to be heavy as it\u2019s made from ebonite; a smooth ebonite. And although the color is black, it will look almost very dark greyish directly in the light. This ebonite material also helps me have a firm grip on the pen. It doesn\u2019t feel slippery, my grip will stay in one place as I write without having to readjust the grip. It\u2019s lovely! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Does the Nahvalur Nautilus Fountain Pen Post? <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This pen is not meant for posting, and the cap will not fit if you try, but being a good-sized pen, there is absolutely no need to post it. The pen body holds a nice weight and balance in and off itself. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nahvalur Nautilus Fountain Pen Review: How Does it Write? <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Nahvalur Nautilus fountain pen wrote perfectly right out of the box and it has kept a nice consistent flow throughout this journey and in between cleanings. No hard or slow starts, and it doesn\u2019t dry up when being put aside for a few days. It\u2019s a very forgiving pen if you forget it for a bit. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It got a smooth # 6 nib. Very smooth. Mine is a Fine as the nibs tend to lean a size up, so this writes more like a Medium, and it\u2019s also more on the wet side. However, it’s a wetness that’s easy to control on smooth paper. Writing with the Nahvalur Nautilus fountain pen is an absolute pleasure. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bonus points to Nahvalur for the ink windows. Yes, plural. It\u2019s adorable. Because this is a piston filler that holds a good amount of ink, it keeps my anxiety level down, not having to worry that I will run out of ink. You all know what I mean. It just makes our lives easier. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Nahvalur Nautilus Fountain Pen: Conclusions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We love that Christine loved the Nahvalur Nautilus! In conclusion, she pointed out that this particular fountain pen is a lovely, oversized, ebonite, piston-filling fountain pen that doesn’t post but that has a great balance in the hand and is comfortable to grip.
