Colorverse Red Shift ink, the 19th ink in the company\u2019s collection is a nice dark shade of red with lighter pinkish undertones that can show depending on the style of writing you use. The red color is bright and vibrant but we could not classify it as a fire engine red. At some points of our review we even got a fuchsia color from the ink. Colorverse Red Shift ink shows up well on paper and has medium saturation.<\/p>\n

Testing Factors<\/h2>\n
For our review of Colorverse Red Shift ink we used Rhodia dot pad paper with a J. Herbin glass dip pen, both manufactured in France. The glass dip pen has a tip that is equivalent to a fine-medium fountain pen nib.<\/p>\n
Bottle Sizes<\/h2>\n
Colorverse Red Shift ink comes in two sizes of the unique and very distinctive Colorverse ink bottle. Each box contains one large 65 ml. bottle of Colorverse Red Shift ink and a matching smaller 15 ml. bottle. The bottles are round with a protruding nub out the left side. The bottles come in a very well wrapped box with built in protective features and even contain some Colorverse<\/a> \u201cswag\u201d.<\/p>\n Colorverse Red Shift ink retails for $36.00 in the USA for this two pack of Colorverse ink. The price point is on the high side, but the uniqueness, fantastic colors, each bottle being imported from Korea and the fact that you get two bottles of ink with each purchase, makes the price more reasonable.<\/p>\n During our review of Colorverse Red Shift ink we experienced a very quick dry time of approximately 3-5 seconds. This quick dry time makes Colorverse Red Shift ink an ink that can be used in just about any situation. Please note that different paper, nibs and writing style may produce a different result.<\/p>\n We found zero bleeding or color show through during our review of Colorverse Red Shift ink using Rhodia dot pad paper.<\/p>\n During our review of Colorverse Red Shift ink we found no feathering at all during normal use on Rhodia paper. Even during our water test, there was only a slight bit of feathering that was produced, as the lines remained pretty clear and distinct.<\/p>\n During our water test, where we ran a wet cotton swab over an ink sample that had dried for about 3 minutes, we noticed some slight feathering, but quite a bit of color smearing. Colorverse Red Shift ink is not a water-proof ink.<\/p>\n Colorverse Red Shift ink has the ability to produce nice shading with the right hand and pen nib. The dark wet lines are a dark red but the lighter dryer lines can produce a soft fushia or dark pink color. The combination is quite striking.<\/p>\n Colorverse Red Shift ink is a dark red that shows up darker during normal use than under the cotton swab test, where more pink hues come out. Colorverse inks in general are interesting and may spark an intellectual curiosity. The Colorverse bottle is unique and you get two different sized bottles with each order. The dry time is super quick and has a nice saturation, which makes it show up very well during normal writing.
