Robert Oster Cherry Blossom Ink, another 2018 addition to the Robert Oster ink collection. In a relatively short time,\u00a0Robert Oster<\/a> has created over 100 ink varieties, each different and unique with interesting Australian based names. Apart from the name and color, the characteristics of Robert Oster inks are wonderful and have us anticipating whats next from Robert Oster. Robert Oster Cherry Blossom ink is a nice dusty rose pink color that is quite beautiful. Robert Oster Cherry Blossom ink is not the light typical pink color, thus it will show up dark and legible on paper. It is a wonderful fountain pen ink that can be used for letters, cards, and other projects requiring a non-standard black or blue ink. Robert Oster Cherry Blossom ink has a nice medium saturation with other nice characteristics, which are discussed below.<\/p>\n

During our review of Robert Oster Cherry Blossom ink we found the following characteristics that you may find helpful when considering your next ink purchase:<\/p>\n

Testing Factors<\/h2>\n

We used a French made J. Herbin glass dip pen on Rhodia dot pad paper for our review. Other papers and pen nibs may produce differing results.<\/p>\n

Bottle Size<\/h2>\n

All of Robert Oster inks come in a standard yet functional and environmentally safe 50 ml. plastic bottle. Each bottle of Robert Oster Cherry Blossom ink has a small white label on ribbed lid with a small ink sample swatch and color name. There is no additional outer packaging that comes with Robert Oster inks, but we have found the lids to be tight and do not leak during shipment.<\/p>\n

Cost<\/h2>\n

Robert Oster Cherry Blossom ink is imported directly from Australia by Pen Chalet, as there is no US distributor, which makes its $17.00 retail price quite reasonable.<\/p>\n

Dry Time<\/h2>\n

We found an extremely quick dry time during our review of Robert Oster Cherry Blossom ink of approximately 2-3 seconds. Not all Robert Oster inks have this quick of a dry time, as 7-8 seconds is more of a standard dry time, which is still reasonably quick.<\/p>\n

Bleed Through<\/h2>\n

There was no bleeding using Rhodia paper during our review of Robert Oster Cherry Blossom ink.<\/p>\n

Feathering<\/h2>\n

During normal use we found no feathering throughout our review of Robert Oster Cherry Blossom ink. Even during our water test the lines remained pretty clear without a lot of added feathering.<\/p>\n

Water Test<\/h2>\n

We conducted a water test during our review of Robert Oster Cherry Blossom ink. The results were some slight line fading, but not a lot of line distortion or feathering. Also, we only saw some light color smearing. Overall Robert Oster Cherry Blossom ink held up quite well for a non-waterproof ink color.<\/p>\n

Shading and Sheening<\/h2>\n

All of Robert Oster inks are known for their shading characteristics. Robert Oster Cherry Blossom ink will not disappoint. There is quite a bit of color variation from a light dusty pink to a dark pink \u2013 purple color and a few shades in between. Like most inks shading will largely depend upon the user, nib and paper used.<\/p>\n

Conclusion about Robert Oster Cherry Blossom Ink<\/h2>\n

Robert Oster Cherry Blossom ink is a dark dusty pink color that is appealing and soothing to the eye. It is very fast drying, has nice shading traits and is reasonably priced. This color is not your typical pink color and can be used in a variety of applications as it shows well on paper and is not too vibrant or light.
