Welcome back to another exciting review and giveaway! This week, we’re reviewing a brand new item that just arrived this week. We are now carrying Seals and Sealing Wax<\/a> from J Herbin. This week’s review will be on the J Herbin Supple Sealing Wax, however there are different types of wax, and different seals. Many of you have requested we start carrying Seals and Sealing Wax, and we do our best to fulfill your requests.<\/p>\n

Qualities<\/h2>\n

J Herbin Supple Sealing Wax is made to withstand the adventures of the Post. After the wax cools, it remains “Supple” and flexible. This allows it to bend instead of breaking, as some older-style wax can have happen. Also, it is crack resistant which helps it to arrive to its destination without any unexpected additions to the design.\u00a0The Supple Sealing Wax<\/a> is sold in packs of four, and each stick will make approximately seven wax seals. That totals out to approximately twenty-eight wax seals a pack, for $16.50 USD.<\/p>\n

J Herbin Sealing Wax and Seal<\/p><\/div>\n

J Herbin Supple Sealing Wax is super easy to use, and you only need a few tools! Here is a list of what you will need to use the Supple Sealing Wax:<\/p>\n

  2. Candle<\/li>\n
  3. Toothpicks<\/li>\n
  4. Melting Spoon<\/li>\n
  5. J Herbin Supple Sealing Wax Stick<\/li>\n
  6. Envelope\/Stationary<\/li>\n
  7. J Herbin Brass Seal<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    First, you will want to light your candle. The candle will allow you to have both hands free while melting the wax in the melting spoon, and will help to provide a constant heat source. Next, cut off\u00a0 approximately a 1\/3″ piece of wax to place in the spoon. After you have placed the piece of wax in the melting spoon, hold the spoon about an inch over the flame. After the wax starts to melting, slowly move it around in the spoon with the toothpick until the entire piece is melted. Be careful to not melt the wax too far, as you don’t want it to be too runny. After you have the wax to the desired consistency, pour the wax onto the envelope\/stationary that you plan to seal. Then, take your seal, and firmly press it into the pool of wax. Allow the wax to cool and solidify before removing the seal. If you are making multiple seals, you can quick-set the wax, by letting your seal sit on ice before pressing it into the wax. If you are using ice, please note to wipe off any condensation on a towel\/cloth.<\/p>\n
