For our review of Robert Oster Evening Sapphire ink we used French made Rhodia dot pad paper with a French made J. Herbin glass dip pen. The pen has a tip that is similar to a fine fountain pen nib.<\/p>\n

Evening Sapphire ink comes in the standard Robert Oster plastic ink bottle, which is environmentally friendly. Each bottle contains 50 ml. of ink with a standard gold Robert Oster Signature ink<\/a> label and\u00a0 a small ink swab on top of the ribbed lid. Robert Oster inks do not come with any other packaging.<\/p>\n Robert Oster Evening Sapphire ink, which is imported directly from Australia and retails in the United States for $17.00, making Robert Oster<\/a> ink a mid ranged ink option. It is a good quality fountain pen ink<\/a> and a and good value.<\/p>\n We found a very reasonable dry time of approximately 6-7 seconds while testing Robert Oster Evening Sapphire ink, which makes it viable as an everyday ink color option. Robert Oster Evening Sapphire ink is a medium saturation ink and shows up well on paper, even with its muted grey undertones.<\/p>\n As with most Robert Oster inks we have tested, we found absolutely no bleeding while testing Robert Oster Evening Sapphire ink using Rhodia paper.<\/p>\n During our testing of Robert Oster Evening Sapphire ink we found zero feathering during normal use. Even during our water test, we found slight feathering but only at the most wet portion of the test.<\/p>\n Robert Oster Evening Sapphire ink is not waterproof ink, but we found that it held up very well during our water test. There was some color smearing, but it was muted and almost no additional feathering except at the wettest portion of the water test.<\/p>\n We found that Robert Oster Evening Sapphire ink produces some nice shading characteristics with the right pen nib and hand. There are soft light blue-grey colors to a darker blue-black color. To top it all off, during the wettest lines you may see a slight pink sheen. Robert Oster Evening Sapphire ink is quite a remarkable color.<\/p>\n Robert Oster Evening Sapphire ink is one of those colors that you may not have in your ink drawer. However, when you see this light muted blue ink, with good saturation, dry time and nice shading traits, it may be a must have. Robert Oster inks flow well in fountain pens, they are reasonably priced and are worth the experience. Robert Oster Evening Sapphire ink would be a good daily ink at home or the office.
