This week, we have something special prepared for you. We are going to give you a run-down of the latest release from Colorverse<\/a>: The Colorverse Voyager 1 Limited Edition Set. This limited edition set comes with four color changing inks, each in the unique Colorverse 15ml bottles. Voyager 1 is a space probe that originally launched in 1977 by Nasa. As of January 2, 2018, Voyager 1 is approximately 21 billion kilometers (13 billion miles) from the sun making it the furthest man-made object from Earth. To commemorate the 40th year after the launch of the Voyager 1 Space Probe, the Colorverse Voyager 1 Limited Edition Set is limited to 1977 sets.<\/p>\n

The Included Inks<\/h2>\n

The Voyager 1 four pack includes the following ink colors: Golden Record, Pale Blue Dot, Jupiter Flyby, and Interstellar Space. Each color is unique, because they are color changing. We have received many questions as to what that phrase means exactly, so we decided test the ink and see what we could find. We discovered that color changing, meant just that. Each of these colors will go down wet one color, and then dry to different color. Below is a breakdown describing the properties of each ink, as well as pictures showing the different colors. We did our best but to capture the color changes but because the ink dries fast we were not able to capture the full color change.<\/p>\n

Golden Record<\/h3>\n

Golden Record is a orange gold ink that goes down as a red-orange, but dries to golden orange. In addition to the color change, Golden Record has some beautiful shading, that will really shine in broader tipped pens. As with the entire Voyager 1 set, Golden Record is a fast drying ink.<\/p>\n

Pale Blue Dot<\/h3>\n

Pale Blue Dot is a pale blue ink that goes down as an almost sapphire blue, and then dries to a soft almost mint blue. Also, you can get some dramatic shading depending on the nib that you use. Not pictured here is the red sheen that you can get depending on the paper used and the wetness of the nib.<\/p>\n

Jupiter Fly By<\/h3>\n

Jupiter Fly By is probably the most dramatic of the color changers. Initially it is a rust red ink, but then it dries to a dusty brown. You can produce some dramatic shading, from a deep brown to a light dusty brown depending on the paper and nib used.<\/p>\n

Interstellar Space<\/h3>\n

Interstellar Space is a moss green ink that has a subtle color change that is hard to show. Initially when wet, Interstellar Space is a dark almost forest green. Once it dries, however, it is better described as a moss green. As you can see in the pictures, Interstellar Space can produce some intense shading.<\/p>\n

As the Colorverse Voyager 1 ink<\/a> sets are limited to 1977 sets worldwide, you’ll want to hurry and get yours before it’s too late! These four fantastic inks are not part of the regular Colorverse ink line, and are not available individually. The four inks can only be bought as a set, and only come in 15ml bottles.
