Visconti Traveling Inkwells Reviews
It did not fit my Pelikan 1000. Then again, that's a huge nib for this. Works extremely well with other pens. I love this a more than my Pineider traveling ink bottle. The price was great at Pen Chalet and with free shipping I had to jump at the deal.

Purchased after having some issues getting a Visconti Homo Sapiens fountain pen to fill properly. This did indeed solve that issue. As well as providing a solution to how quickly the Homo Sapiens can run dry. By having a reserve vial of ink to take on the go.
I have also discovered it also works just as well filling vacuum fill fountain pens of other manufacturers.
While one can always quibble about pricing and such, I am pleased with this purchase. Pen Chalet had a fair and competitive price, plus service and shipping were top notch.

The Visconti Travelling Inkwell is one of my favorite fountain pen accessories. Its design and style are unmatched. While it's a tad expensive, the fact that it fits in a pen case and works with a wide range of pens puts it ahead of the competition.

This traveling ink well is awesome! It has been in my satchel loaded with Majestic Blue for almost a month with no leaks or issues. I had need to fill a Lamy Safari with the cut-outs on the grip section, and I was curious if it would seal properly. No worries, it worked flawlessly without a single drip. I also have the competing Visconti version, which is double the price. This one works just as well and seems to hold a touch more ink.

I have mixed feelings about this inkwell: Very useful for some pens with vacuum or other large filling systems which are difficult to get a full fill from a bottle with. On the other hand, the top of the inkwell tends to crack on the thin lip where the cap fits in if you apply any pressure while placing the cap on tightly. In addition, it is very hard to clean, the ink seems to just stick under rubber gasket and takes forever for water to come clear while cleaning (if ever!). I only end up using this system for very specific pens.

Man is it an expensive product. And Visconti seems to have really cut back on their packaging...it came in a small cardboard box that didn't seem to keep the eye dropper safely secured. For $70, I think I deserve a clamshell box.
But there is a reason you cough up so much. This is the only product on the market that is a perfect solution to traveling with a pen. Works like a charm, unless you don't hold on tightly as you fill a vacuum pen (my first experience was an embarrassing one cleaning the tiles in my bathroom).
