My first Lamy. I like the way it feels in the hand (posted). The weight is balanced. The nib writes so smoothly, and I am impressed with the blue ink that came with the pen.

Was Leary about getting a Lamy because I liked my Pilots so much but I’m so glad I did. I really really love the Lamy pens that I’ve gotten so far. I’m only a few months into my new pen hobby and I’ve discovered that I’m in love with Lamy pens. My handwriting is very small so I started with a fine bib but even that makes my letters seem a little bunched. This extra fine non is really, really nice. I feel foolish because I didn’t click the button to get the free ink cartridges that came with this limited edition pen, but I really couldn’t be happier with this extra-fine pen from Lamy. I love it! Money well spent.

I like the Lamy Al-Star pens. They are a little more robust feeling and heavier than the Lamy Safari which I am not a fan of. Writing experience is good for both. Great starter fountain pens. Very collectible. Writing experience is the same for both which is firm. Reliable writers.

Love the color. Love the EF nib. This pen is not much heavier, if at all, than a plastic Safari. And it's comfortable to hold (thanks to the triangular grip). I am pleased.

Love my new LAMY....super light weight with good ink distribution and just enough drag to give good control on the page....My favorite for taking rapid notes and transcriptions.

I Love This Pen! That's exactly what I wrote on a piece of paper when I was trying this pen out. This is the second fountain pen that I have owned; previously a cheap one from Staples. I never used a fountain pen regularly at that time because I wasn't too good at practicing and / or writing calligraphy. However, when I read & learned that fountain pens could be used as everyday writing instruments, I ventured out & bought this one. I love the color, it's light weight & the extra fine point nib is perfect. I like the structure of this pen which makes it very easy to grasp & hold. I'm currently using the blue ink that it came with & I am not a fan of blue ink.... This has become my everyday pen at work as a Court Administrator.
