Such a beautiful ink, the Iroshizuku AjiSai! It behaves well, albeit a bit dry in my opinion, but I love it nonetheless. I’ll be using on this bottle for a ling time.

This may be blasphemy, but I'm not crazy about Yama-Budo. It looks too dark on paper -- it's hard to tell it's purple rather than almost black. Maybe I need a drier, broader pen?

Greetings, Everything on your end concerning my order was perfect. Once I got my order I was so happy to start working with my Lamy Al Star. I attempted to immediately change the nib that came along with my order. Keep in mind that this is the first fountain pen that I've owned since elementary school and I'm a senior. Instead of just sliding the nib off of the ink reservoir, I pulled them both off. No problem. My problem started when I pushed the ink reservoir back into the screw in housing. It did not go all the way back into the position that it was supposed to be in. I didn't realize it until I tried to put the cap onto the pen. I ended up smashing the tip of the nib. As a result, I could not pull the ink reservoir back off of the screw in housing. I thought that I had literally destroyed the pen. I put another nib on and it worked like a charm but the cap of the pen would not snap onto the end. In disappointment, I laid the pen down and left it alone for a few days. I eventually started watching your Youtube videos about the pen. I eventually watched the one that mentions making sure that the In reservoir is located on the track. It was hard to pull the ink reservoir back out. It was jammed very tight. After hearing in the video that the Lamy company does not make replacement parts, I got up enough nerve to use a pair of pliers. When the two pieces separated, I can't explain the feeling of relief. I ended up getting everything put back together correctly and I'm back in the saddle again. I love this pen. It is a starter and I have my eyes on other more expensive fountain pens. Now as for the ink, I love it. I needed a blue ink that I could use for legal documents. The shade is perfect for when copies or scans are made.

Vey Beautiful Ink. When i got it I tested it out, in both a Stub and a fine. The vibrant deep color came through using both style nibs. It is very pretty in my demonstrator fountain pen: a nice dark color.

To me, the best ink line on the market. Makes every pen I put it in just glide and sing on the page. Great colors, rich- but not thick or sticky. I trust it in all my vintage pens and it makes for a damn sexy ink when used with a true flex nib. The shading is subtle, but beautiful depending on color. This is a classy, high quality ink that makes any pen you put it in write better.

I finally picked up a bottle of kon-peki after putting it off for way too long. Don’t be me, just get yourself a bottle or a sample vial to try it out. The ink almost looks like it’s glowing on the page. Honestly, you probably can’t go wrong with any iroshizuku ink (shin-kai is another favorite that has incredible shading).

Love Iroshizuku inks. They are consistent and lubricated so they make smooth nibs heavenly. Can’t beat the bottle they come in. Shin-Kai is a cool blue-black with a surprising red sheen. I love it.
