The Ink Miser Ink Shot inkwell is awesome. Yes, it is cheap and simple, but the wide opening and deep V shape fits my fattest, largest pens with ease and provides enough depth for them all to fill completely. I chose the clear version so I can more easily see how far my nib is immersed in the ink and how much ink there is as I fill. I haven't had any staining yet, but it won't bother me if I do. The only con to this thing is how light it is. Yes, it has a wide base, but it is still relatively easy to knock over if you aren't careful. For the price, I'm not complaining. I might glue it to a wider piece of wood or something to make it harder to tip over.

I bought this on a whim because it wasn’t very expensive and I thought it would be fun to try. I now use it constantly! Often, when I have a sample vial or am reaching the bottom of a bottle, the Ink-shot is a great way to fill a pen because the shape allows for the pen to sink in all the way and suck up all the ink. A great and inexpensive way to stretch your ink and fill pens easily.

I have been challenged in the past in not being able to fill a fountain pen from an almost empty ink bottle. This item allows me to use the pipette to extract ink from the bottle and fill the pen from the ink-well. I purchased the clear device as I look forward to using it to mix ink.

It helps with the Noodler’s ink bottles as it’s hard to judge the level looking down sometimes. Using an ink syringe as well you can get the last drops!

I use this ink well a lot for cleaning my pens with Pen Chalet pen flush and for draining the last drops of ink from my bottles. I just emptied out a 2 oz bottle of Pelikan 4001 Brilliant Black thanks to this handy little tool.

I bought this in clear so I could see how much ink was in the inkwell. A friend of mine gave me samples of her inks to try. I poured the ink into this ink-shot and was able to load the ink into my pen effortlessly. It's sturdy and sits well on a flat table. As an added precaution, I have placed this ink-shot into my clean Oui glass yogurt jar. Now I don't have to worry about accidentally tipping it over. I highly recommend this and also the clear version.
