The Sailor Pro Gear Transparent fountain pen has a clear demonstrator barrel with silver color trim. The pen has been fitted with a 21k solid gold nib that has been rhodium plated to match. Each pen comes with a cartridge converter filling system both of which are included with the pen.

The Sailor Pro Gear Transparent Fountain Pen has a clear demonstrator cap and barrel. It has silver-colored trim on the pen. There is a simple basic, silver clip for the pen that is attached with a ring at the top. On the very top of the cap is the Sailor logo in a black background. There is a nice large band at the bottom of the cap that is engraved with Sailor Japan Founded 1911 and a small ring at the end of the barrel of the pen.
The cap is threaded. It will unscrew, and it will post on the end of the barrel of the pen. The section of the pen is also silver on the inside, so it's wrapped in a clear resin but you can see that section underneath in the metal, silver color.
The pen comes with a 21-karat gold nib that is dual-tone. It has both silver and gold colors and is rhodium plated for the silver color with a black feed on the back. It is a cartridge converter pen, so the section will unscrew from the body of the pen, and you will be able to insert either a Sailor ink cartridge or the Sailor converter that came with the pen to fill it with ink.

What is the diameter at the grip section? If you could please give in mm as I am a 'metric' man. A:
The grip section is conical so the diameter is not constant throughout. But measuring the center, the diameters are 10.25 mm for the slim and 11.0 mm for the standard size.Q:
Are those the slim version or the regular, fatter ones?A:
The cheaper pens listed at $156 with the 14k gold nibs are the Sailor Pro Gear slim. The other with the 21k gold nibs are all the larger size.
