About the Platinum 3776 Shungyo
The Platinum 3776 Shungyo fountain pen is part of the Fuji Shunkei series. Inspired but the seasonal scenery of Mount Fuji, the series expresses these views.
Shaped to resemble Mount Fuji, the black nut inside the Slip and Seal cap is place on top of the pen. The ring has been etched so that the ring stands out with a three dimensional appearance.
Presented in an exclusive gift box with a chrome plated Platinum converter. A blue black ink cartridge is also included with the warranty, user manual and a special Shungyo letter. The pen has been fitted with a 14k gold nib.
This limited edition fountain pen has been engraved and numbered with only 3,776 made.

Included with the Platinum 3776 Shungyo Fountain Pen is an ink converter as well as a cartridge for the pen. Here we have the Shungyo 3776 Fountain Pen. It has a beautiful burgundy resin with silver-colored accents on the pen.
You can see the rounded cap. It has the Slip and Seal cap with the 3776 pen, which is really nice. It keeps the air out of the pen when it's capped and keeps the ink nice and fresh without drying out.
The silver color clip on the pen and the ring on the bottom of the cap, engraved with Platinum 3776 Century. There is also a thin matching ring at the bottom of the barrel of the pen. The cap is threaded and unscrews and posts on the end pen.
Since it is a cartridge converter style pen, you unscrew the section from the barrel of the pen and either insert a cartridge or converter in the section. The nib on the pen is a gold nib, rhodium-plated to match the rest of the trim. You can see the Platinum "P" and 3776 engraved on the nib as well and feed on the backside.

This is the Platinum 3776 Shungyo Fountain Pen. It is a limited edition fountain pen and comes in a red cardboard box with the Platinum 3776 logo on the top of the box lid. This slides off, and inside is a white gift box with the pen. The 3776 is my go to pen. A perfect all arounder. I love the nibs. I did not need it but must admit, color and subtle design/stripes are beautiful. I use it exclusively for my Herbin Parfum de Rose ink. It is a perfect combination.

I already had a Bourgogne 3776 in medium, and when the Shungyo came out I knew I really wanted it for the color and the textured barrel. I love the cherry red color matched with the silver trim. The pen writes well, though it has a little more feedback than my other 3776. Definitely not scratchy, just more feedback. Build quality, functionality, and the writing experience with it are on par with my other one. I really like the way they write! My only issue with this purchase was with the converter. Somehow ink got behind the piston seal. It didn't leak into the pen, but when I went to refill and twisted the turning nob to flush the ink out, some ink come out on my hands. The metal part of the converter that screws down and holds the piston rod in place seemed loose. I cleaned it thoroughly, and tightened it well, and so far no issues. Overall a solid pen!

I recently purchased the Platinum 3776 Shungyo from Pen Chalet. I own six Platinum 3776 Fountain Pens. They are very Reliable ; well constructed and do not dry out as often as my other pens and they write beautifully! The Shungyo as stated by other reviewers is red but with a touch of fuchsia for lack of a better word. The lines in the body remind me of my Kawagudhi and Yamanaka. Pen Chalets service is as always Excellent

Very happy with this pen! The color is great. It's a true red that I like more than the red used in the bourgogne 3776.
Performance is flawless: smooth nib always ready to write thanks to the sealing mechanism in the cap.
The only thing I'd like more would be a bigger size of the pen, both in length and diameter.

Love this pen. I'm a Platinum nut, to be honest. This red is definitely different than the Bourgonne color, so if you're on the fence, this is a little brighter and lighter than the Bourgonne. They're both lovely and I am thrilled to have this LE. Platinums are my favorite writers.
